"My freedom no longer felt like it was given"
I bought this book on 6/28/22. And I unfortunately just now read this. But fortunately...I throughly enjoyed it.This wasn't a tear jerker like Last Resort. But I did see a tear in this one. When Ledger said - "need me". When Asher said- "need something to soften the heartache". And lastly- "you'll love me forever". Even though Last Resort is not needed to read this one, I'd highly recommend it. You'll get Callahan's story. Plus some minor details.Ledger and Asher saw one another as they were, not what society sees. And I was super proud of Asher for standing up to the rich "ladies". I liked Maxton (the guys father) in Last Resort and I absolutely loathe him in this one. He treated Asher like trash. Or the gum on his shoe. He really made me want to punch him...for Asher. She deserved so much more. I liked both Ledger and Asher. They really came together. Like chocolate and peanut butter. And Tootie (Ledger's 7 year old neighbor) was an absolute hoot. I liked her immediately and she really made me laugh. I was glad Adele (Asher's grandmother) took Asher in and made her an unofficial daughter. Since Lydia (Asher's mother) didn't.I was glad to hear from Callahan and Sutton (Last Resort). They had a cameo. And so did Ford.I really enjoyed this read. It was full of all things good. The characters really made a statement. And they really came alive. I was entertained and I have one question. Since Asher joined the Mile High club with Ledger. But Ledger said welcome to the Mile High Club. Did that mean he was already a member?

Going into this book I wasn’t quite sure if I like Ledger or not because of reading about him in the first book of the series. But that quickly changed. I am definitely team Ledger now!Asher and Ledger met over summer when Ledger’s family would visit Cedar Falls. Asher was always the talk of the town because of her mother and not knowing who her father was.Asher is very stubborn and strong character. I think it is because of having to deal with small town gossip about her mom her whole life and she has to but up this front to protect herself.Gosh where to I start with Ledger. He is of course a handsome man but he feels all this pressure being the first born. I feel like his Dad really didn’t do him a solid putting all these goal on Ledgers shoulders. His Dad isn’t my favorite character and you will learn why in this book.I am glad that everything turned out the way it should in the end and I was in tears with what Ledger did for Asher 😭.Can’t wait until the next book comes out to learn more about Ford!!

Asher and Ledger are my ultimate second chance couple ❤️
On One ConditionS.I.N #2K. BrombergOh be still my beating heart, Ledger and Asher are your ultimate second chance couple. They come from a time where they spent summers together, but while Ledger fell in love with his lavender girl, his father was not so much a fan! So when a summer 15 years ago, Ledger just disappears from her life, her heart is shattered. She was always the girl on the outs in Cedar Falls. The daughter of a woman who has her and left her with her grandparents, and never knowing who her father was, Asher has always lived life for herself, besides her gran and pop the only other person she could depend on was Ledger, until he did what everyone else has done- leave her!Fast forward to today and Sharpe International Network has purchased a resort in Cedar Falls… while that sounded like a great idea, the town and in particular the towns mayor are making them jump through hoops, the newest one, a 2 month stay for one of the Sharpe brothers and numerous other crazy things. When Ledger is set to leave he knows he’s going back to the place where his heart was broken by a sweet lavender girl… Would Asher still be there or had she moved on? He’s about to find out, and is anything but smooth run!Seeing her old feelings renew and Ledger knows he’s in big trouble. He not only is met with attitude but hate that he doesn’t understand! As the pair deal with his arrival in town, and dealing with their past, Asher and Ledger rediscover what they had, what they lost and what they might have for the future! With many tears, fears and hit makeup sex they discover a truce and future… But when all the truth comes out there’s not much left by to pick up, regroup or leave forever. This story gave me all the feels… and while I loved Asher and Ledger, one character really stood out to me - Tootie, this kid cracked me up, her recurring speech’s and friendship towards Ledger was sweet as it was amusing!

Swoon!
I loved Ledger’s and Asher’s story. So much tentativeness and tenderness. Asher’s strength matched Ledger’s powerful persona. First loves finding their way back to each other. I sighed and swooned. So many emotions! Including laughter courtesy of the adorable Tootie. I couldn’t put this one down and can’t wait for Ford’s story.

Just Alright
While I was excited to continue reading this series, this book didn’t full excite me like the first one. It saddened me that Asher and Ledger were pulled apart in such a cruel way, but I am happy that they were able to find their way back to each other. I also didn’t like that their reason for being apart was kept secret… I understand protecting the ones you love but hated Ledger had to shoulder that. I’ll continue on as I’m curious about Ford’s story.

Good read
Great book! I liked it Berrigan the first book in the series because there was more focus on the main characters. Ledger and Asher made a great couple, lots of chemistry with emotional and physical connections. I thought the things Ledger's father did to break them up when they were kids was despicable. I was glad to see that Ledger finally became his own man and got out from under his father's tyranny. I really liked Asher: she was courageous and was independent and insisted on making her dreams come true herself. So glad they got their HEA! Looking forward to reading Ford boom next
