After 10 months of the bulb installation, it started to flicker irregularly and several attempts at re-installation were unsuccessful. I've attempted to email the seller for a replacement or refund, since it is supposed to have a 2 year warranty. I will follow up with a final review once the seller responds. For now, I don't recommend this product. After 1 week, no reply from seller. Had to purchase a plain white bulb from my local supply store in the meantime, since pool season is here and night swimming is common in my household.Update- after several attempts to contact the seller, we finally agreed on an exchange of the defective bulb for a new one, which we just received. I will keep the 3 star review until we’ve had a chance to test the new bulb for reliability and proper function.

Update after replacement: its has been working properly. I guess you really have to make sure no moisture is in your pool casing. Thank you for the replacement. Love itColors are nice. While they worked. The remote is only effective within one foot from the light.The really bad news is that after three days with it on for 3 or 4 hours the bulb started flickering, lost 90% of the luminosity and the colors are completely off. Amazon accepted the return and replacement. If the same model doesn’t work better I’ll just get some other brand and model.The remote does come with a battery now.

This is fantastic, the colors and effects are equal to higher priced fixtures. I only rated this four stars because the distance on the remote is overstated. You must be in very close range, inches, in order for this to work. I tried replacing the battery with a brand name but still no improvement.

I’ve waited over a year after my purchase to write this review & all I can say is this bulb works & continues to do so. I specifically purchased both the bulb & ring seal for my replacement. I concur with the Professor that the remote either doesn’t work or only works in really close proximity if your unit is closer to the surface (It’s Physics, Math...SCIENCE!). Our light switch is also the go-to for changing modes/colors. Nough said (... mic dropped).

Remote doesn't work at all, even standing right above the light. Wish lights were brighter. The blue is the only one that looks good.***UPDATE***By the end of the first season the only color that worked was green. Looks like our pool is overran by algae.

love the light effects in my pool, but the remotes don't work unless you are standing right above the light.

We love the colors easy install, no 5 stars as the remote control does not work we tried placing it in a plastic bag and try under water no luck!
