Great idea; execution may or may not work for you
My one year old niece loves to play with apps on my phone but for the past couple months has been stymied by her incessant curiosity with the home button. My brother in law got BubCaps for his phone so I thought I'd try them out. I think it's a great idea, and certainly a product that is needed. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. First, even the lightest weight one is too hard for even me to push. Preventing her from pushing the home button is great; me, not so much. Second, I have an iPhone 6 Plus which does fingerprint recognition, which I love. Well, it won't do that with a BubCap installed. Finally, I have an Otterbox defender installed on my phone, and that security is very important to me. With a BubCap on, the case doesn't fit quite right at the bottom. I think the BubCap would be just fine for those without cases that cover the screen, or for those who don't have or don't use the fingerprint recognition feature on the home button.

Do you need these overpriced stickers?
We purchased these bubcaps to keep our toddler from pressing the home key on some of our devices. They work so far, our toddler cannot press them hard enough to access the home screen...Then we discovered we didn't them. Our smart devices (iPhones) have guided access. Go to your settings and see if you have guided access. I'm not familiar with androids so I cannot say if they have this feature. Basically with guided access you have to triple click the home key and put in a code to get out of an app. You also triple click the home key to start it. So if my child is having a melt down, I pull out my phone, open her favorite app, and triple click the home key. Boom-she can't get out and mess up my phone. If you are going to buy these keep in mind that an older child maybe strong enough to press them enough and you may have a feature in your settings that may solve your problem.Hope this was helpful

Overall happy again with this product - it keeps my 1 ...
I had these with my first child, now bought again for my second. They don't work as well with a clunky kids case, but that's expected. Overall happy again with this product - it keeps my 1 year old from obsessively pressing the home button when playing games on the ipad mini. I did use it over the case, but it's just hard enough to press, that she doesn't mess with it.....It also makes it no longer look like a little "button" if you have a pointer-finger baby who likes to press buttons :-)

Ugly but works
If you have a toddler that loves to play with your iPhone or iPad, then this is a necessity. My twins just love to press the home button and both of us then get frustrated when I have to constantly open their app back up.It's not exactly what I thought it would be, I was expecting something that could be applied and removed fairly easily, but that isn't the case. This is basically a thick sticker that goes over your home button. One concern that I have is how much of a chocking hazard this presents, and as such I will not reuse them if I remove them.

Love the idea, but...
I can't say for sure it is due to the BubCap... but my home button never seemed to function correctly after I had this installed on my ipod touch for a few months. Great idea- but I haven't risked putting it on one of my more important devices since this happened.

It works.
It did do the trick.....for a little while. But then my 1.5 year old kid got the hang of it. I think its' worth it for that short period of time that your baby doesn't realize how to push the button super hard.

Works well, a little too well occasionally
My daughter loves playing with our devices, but she also loves pushing buttons. She would start a game or app and get super frustrated when she pushed the button and went back to the home screen. These solved the problem. I'm giving it 4 stars because the button meant for Ipads is a bit too strong. It's difficult for me to press it twice fast enough to toggle between apps, otherwise this would have 5 stars.

Perfect Solution If You Have Toddlers/Preschoolers
BupCap works exactly as promised. We have multiple iPhones, iPods etc., so I got the Explorer pack. The BubCap is easy to apply and goes right over the Home button. When your child wants to play a game, you open it for her/him. They can play, but are too young to be able to press hard enough to engage the Home button. That keeps them from accessing other parts of your phone or iPad. I use the BubCap Max. It's the hardest to press, and so it works well to even keep the older kids from accessing apps you don't want them to use. My hubby uses the BubCap Ultra because it's easier for adults to press, but still works well enough to prevent toddlers and young preschoolers from deleting apps or sending consonant-filled emails without our knowledge (as ours did before we got this!). We have not tried the regular BupCap, but that should work great for the youngest toddlers. It is also not difficult for an adult to remove when it's no longer need it. Great invention!
