Comply Memory Foam Replacement Ear Tips (Sony True Wireless)

Having purchased my Sony WF-1000XM4 buds nearly a year ago, my enjoyment of them was kyboshed by my dissatisfaction with the OEM tips they came with. The Medium tips were the one that gave the best fit and noise isolation (via Sony's app), but they were insecure in my ears to say the least, and also due to that, their sound isolation would be tanked seconds after inserting them due to slippage. I even nearly lost them twice while out and about. Fast forward to last week when I purchased these Comply beauties, when I purchased a Medium triple pack. The improvement in performance is beyond my expectations. The fit is superb, noise isolation on another level, and I can now go for hikes outside with complete confidence with the fit.The soundscape they help offer is also superb. For me these are a no-brainer best buy.

I love Comply tips. Their quality of fit means an upgrade to every headphone I've ever had. These are no exception. But I'm not sure these are large enough. There's something about the angle of the Sony earbuds that means that the seal doesn't feel complete even on the "large" size. Prior Comply tips have totally solved this problem, but these aren't quite large enough. Still an upgrade, but not perfect. And for the price, I would have expected closer to perfection.

Sony's earbuds are pretty good... they should be for the £££££s they cost. But the rubber/plastic/silicon tips supplied are awful. In fact... they are painful to wear, don't keep the earphones attached to the ears and slowly slide out of the ears, falling to the ground. Stupid, stupid design. These TrueGrip Pro tips from Comply are HEAVEN! Not only do they key the earbuds actually inserted into my ears, they are so comfortable they can even feel - from time to time - like they're hardly in my ears. Noise cancelling: not so much a strong feature of these tips; I use the hardware noise-cancelling features for that. Also, there's various "heads-up" in the instructions that these tips (3 per pack) will not last forever, so to take care of them and wash occasionally with some plain water will help. Shame, because these are very expensive (£3+ per tip) but worth it for the comfortableness and the ability to stay in my ears.

The package says these tips don't last more than 3 months. But not disclosed in the listing in Amazin. Charging 19.99 pounds for 3 pair of memory foam tips is a scam. I returned mine.

Bought these for the Sony XM5s. Very good fit onto the headphones. Tight and expanding fit within ears. Definitely a good replacement for the original. They are slightly large than the original large size, but fit absolutely fine. If yours are getting tierd then I'd recommend. Apparently these only last a few months, but I'm hoping that isn't the case. As if that's true they are overpriced massively.

My Sony M3's have never fitted well and the selection of silicone ear buds supplied with the headphones were all enormously uncomfortable and I was dubious as to whether the noise cancelling function actually worked. I almost ditched the earbuds completely but thought I'd try some new ear tips before I completely gave up on them, as most of the ear bud reviews were hugely positive. I did think that £19 was rather expensive for 3 sets of ear tips, but the reviews seemed favourable so I ordered and hoped for the best. Wow!!! These little tips have by far exceeded my expectations. Not only are the ear buds way more comfortable (no more itchy and sore ears) but they are so much more secure in my ears - the fit is absolutely perfect and with a perfect fit comes premium sound quality and exceptional noise cancelling. I cannot believe what a difference these little tips have made. I wish Sony supplied these as standard rather than 7 pairs of useless tips which don't fit properly and distort the sound of what are great ear buds. If you're considering these, don't. Just buy them - they make such a difference to the listening experience you won't regret a single penny.

Excellent replacement for the original Sony tips. I never quite liked the originals, they were too stiff for me. These Comply tips are better: very flexible, but slightly bigger (medium size). ANC is better with the new ones, and even occlusion effect while walking seems a bit less disruptive.

I use these foam tips around once or twice a week for my commute to work (around 30mins each way) and now the foam is not as malleable as when new after only 1 month. Originally you can press the tips to make them narrower to fit into your ear which then expands inside to form a seal. Now they immediately go back to their original shape when pressed and so cannot create a good seal and does not feel as secure. Feels like I am ramming the buds against the ear rather than inserting it. When new they feel very secure, improve sound quality and noise isolation. Very expensive for how long they are effective for (1 month).

For the past two years I’ve been using my Sony WF-1000XM5 extensively. Fantastic sound, but they have never been comfortable for me to wear, and the noise isolation has been really poor despite supposedly being among the best on the market. I was really disappointed but I kept thinking it was my ears that didn't fit and that were the problem, since these earbuds are considered some of the most popular, best, and most expensive. Now I’ve been trying these Comply for a while, and the difference is like night and day, soft and comfortable in my ears, and I finally have good noise isolation.

The Comply Foam Ear Tips for my Sony WF-1000XM5 are excellent. They fit perfectly and do not detach easily. I hope they will last a long time. The sounds are much clearer and louder since it is foam. They are worth buying though expensive.

I have bought those for three different types of earbuds now: Sony, Apple, Bose. I’d describe them as ‘essential’. The rubber tips that tend to come with those earbuds are… acceptable. The foam makes huge difference when used as recommended. The Sony version I am reviewing made the difference between the earbuds staying in my ears vs not quite. Shame there’s no XL version. But I can’t complain about a product that doesn’t exist. L is good enough, it just could be even better, apparently I have extra large ear canals. Anyway, 100% recommended if you need noise cancelling and your earbuds don’t seem to do the job well enough – the TrueGrip tips will magically make the earbuds better.
