Q: Does this have a backing sheet?

Yes it's like normal window tint 1 side is your tint side and then on the opposite side will be a clear backing sheet that you must peel off the window film and that will expose the sticky adhesive that sticks to the window. It's fairly difficult to separate the clear peel away sheeting from the tint, a easy way to separate them is to take 2 strips of tape and stick one strip on one side of film and another on the other side press the 2 strips of tape together just enough to cover film and peel the 2 strips of tape apart and it should grab the clear side and separate them, works best if done on a corner.
