Great book,but……..
Great book and I am too green in the subject as it is the first but after watching videos and endless research I must say it has to be the BEST out there, and they have a website with a free 2 week offer trial in the book with a QR which you can share with friends the website is even better then the book and definitely a must sign up which for a fraction of a CFI or flight school are probably better Jason is just fluent and full of knowledge and great teaching skills but that free offer for 2 weeks isn’t entirely truth you get harassed to sign up after 3 days specially if you are really using it as I tried, but the fact is their school and books are worth every penny.

Great Resource
I'm a big fan of Jason Schappert and the team at MzeroA. And this book is consistent with their organization. Although I'm already a private pilot, this book has been a great review. It contains pertinent info as well as great advice. I'm considering buying several additional copies to have to give to friends who are considering a pilot's license.

Good guide how to get the private pilot license in the US, but not much beyond it
I recently got my private pilot license in Brazil and bought this book hoping it would summarize some key concepts of flying a small plane that you need to master in order to become a private pilot (and which are pretty much the same all over the world). But this book only mentions some of them superficially. It explains you more how to go about to become a private pilot in the US, how to choose a flight school, how long it will take and how much it will cost. Fair enough. I probably should have read the book description more carefully before buying it. But if you are looking for a book that explains you basic flying concepts in a simple language, this one is not it. I am actually surprised how few books I have found that would do so.

Excellent Book for the Person Wanting to Learn How to Fly
Jason Shappert has excellent products and a whole bunch of free Youtube videos that I enjoy and applaud. However, this book, which I only scanned before returning, is a great step-by-step for the beginning pilot. It is mainly also a "shameless" plug for his products, of which he has several IMHO expensive subscription services. So knowing this, I think it is an excellent resource for the beginning student pilot.

Glad was under $10
If you think a head and plan a little, this book is useless. If you watch Jason's videos on YouTube then you know most of this stuff. As he recommends in the book, look out for spending money on useless stuff, save your money toward your training...well.Book is more of a blog post.

*critical* information for aspiring pilots!!!
There are some criticisms of this book that may have some truth to them - like it has some empty space on pages and has a lot of plugs for Jason's own ground/flight schools. But it boils down to this -- for about $6, you're going to get information that could literally save you THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. This is an absolute no-brainer. If you're are interesting in aviation and you're thinking about getting a PPL, this is the PERFECT first step. It requires no previous knowledge about anything, and it presents topics clearly and without going into too much detail. I don't know of any other book out there specifically written for the brand new, aspiring pilot. Get this book!
