Spirit Halloween 4.7 Ft Mr. Dark Animatronic Decoration

Had contact Spirit to get a new motor for him, but other then that he's cool!

We assembled this the day of Halloween because it was so large and should have tried sooner. We followed all instructions and similar to other reviews, the device doesn't spring forward. The sound activates but either the gears or the motor doesn't release to propel upward. Awaiting an answer from support. For the price they charge for these, I'd expect better motor/gear assembly as that's the main part of any animatronic but this one is defective and we just put it out as a large prop that didn't do anything. Will update if any success in fixing it with support.

The media could not be loaded. Easy to assemble. Love that I was able to control the volume. Overall super happy with this purchase don’t overthink it and just buy it! :)

This thing looked amazing in the store, so I bought one. Unfortunately, the thing didn't work brand new out of the box. I called the support line and learned that they are a third party company hired by Spirit Halloween. The woman I spoke to said that there were no replacement parts available at that time and that the best that they could do was refund half the money for me to keep it. She also stated that the store I bought it from has the discretion on whether or not they let you return it. Furthermore, she stated that most of the time they do not accept returns and will redirect you back to the third party company. This will be the last thing I buy from Spirit Halloween.

It’s a great prop with great potential but daily have to fix something. We purchased this recently and honestly nothing but problems. He’s not motion activated, it’s either foot pad or ir sensor which means discrepancy in light hitting the sensor activated him. We put a Halloween light in front of him where when people walk by the break in light activated him. Problem solved till the next day. When activated the audio comes on but doesn’t launch. No clicking no anything. Disconnect the support launches fine. Ended up putting concrete bags completely around the bottom of the frame because when he’d launch the frame would flex in the areas it wasn’t completely anchored binding the arm enough to make it stick. Great until the next day now the gears are grinding as he’s retracting. This thing has been a nightmare. I’m hesitant to call spirit Halloween support because I bought the bog zombie and the lower motor wasn’t working out of the box. Called them and they had me checking every part and offered to send parts for me to fix it. Wth brand new never used and I have to fix it. $2,000 over 2 years on their products and I’m really disappointed. You may get lucky and everything works perfectly, unfortunately I’m having horrible luck with their products.

This thing stopped working on day one! Expensive and unreliable. It wouldn’t pop up and sometimes it would pop up halfway. This was meant to be a primary feature at our Halloween party and we couldn’t even use it.
