Very pleased with my dishwashing Workhorse!
The media could not be loaded. This is my 5 month review of this little appliance workhorse. Item received nicely packaged with proper stuffing inside to cushion it during transport. Checked the product over - including the bottom for cracks or damage. Note: There was some water WHICH IS NORMAL inside the unit. The water is there because they do a test of the unit before packing it up and sometimes not all the water drains out of unit.First off, I want to address who should or should not get this type of dishwasher. It is great for: a single or two person household, for a household with a baby to be used to wash the bottles etc., for inside a small guest house or cabin. If you are a family with children, or if you entertain by feeding people with meals you should probably look into getting a mobile dishwasher on wheels that you hook up to your faucet when using - they have a lot more room, are same size height as a under the countertop model but are about 18"wide & therefore hold a lot more items inside. If space is an issue, then you may have to do more loads.Having said the above, this Chumaste is definitely a little workhorse. I am mostly a microwave cooker - which means I cook mostly frozen or already prepared meals that I buy. I do make salads, cook mug meals, use glasses & coffee cups & therefore have dirty items that need washing. Sometimes I do use a pot or pan to cook something. I am a single person household 90% of the time.I do a load when I accumulate enough items, sometimes after 3 meals or maybe a few more. It is a good practice to scrape excessive food remains off your plates, heavy sauces or bits & pieces of food - even regular size dishwasher manufactures recommend that.I decided to use powdered dishsoap so I didn't have to try to break the pods up - as far as I can tell, there is no company making any kind of reduced quantity for these compact dishwashers and scooping it out with a spoon works fine. Also using too much soap can lead to issues with performance. If you watch the video, you will see that I have it setup on a heavy duty shelving unit & not on the countertop. I do actually have a space on the countertop where I could have put it, but then I find filling it with water at that height to be awkward. I like the height it is at now - so I put a bucket on the floor for catching the water.Loads: I call this a workhorse because it does hold a lot - yes you might have to take some time to figure out where to place the items, but as you can see from my pictures it does hold plenty. NOTE: If you have some oversize plates then there will be an issue with those & just about every portable dishwasher will have problems with large diameter plates.Maintenance: Since I live in a hard water area, I wipe out the inside of the unit after I've finished with using it, this keeps the inside cabinet from having scale buildup. Note, after the drying cycle, the dishes will be dried but there will still be water droplets on the ceiling & bottom & maybe on the sides - this is what I am wiping dry. Hint: If you let your items sit in the unit, chances are the droplets from the ceiling may drop down & cause water spots on glassware items. For overall cleaning, including the drainage tubing, get a product for scale buildup removal & modify the instructions - quantity used, for the smaller appliance. You can also run a cycle - I suggest an empty fruit cycle with vinegar added to water. Finally, please check the condition of the filter, if not after every wash, at least after two or three washes depending on how dirty your dishes are when you put them in. The screens need to be cleaned off - just remove filter & rinse under a faucet. Your can take the filter apart & use an old toothbrush to kinda scrub the filter screen. When doing this also remove the rectangular screen where the filter screws into and rinse it off also, the underneath can get grimy.I've given this a 5 star rating, I've had it for 6 months, I use it about every other day since I don't accumulate enough dishes to warrant using it every day depending on how many items I dirty up & I am very pleased with this purchase.Think about your needs & situation - this might work for you or it might not, it works for me & I am very happy I bought this. I will update this review if I should have any issues.

Must buy
Don’t hesitate, get it. It works so damn well and I load for me and my boyfriend, I put it on every night. And I have it ( the drain hose) in a bucket. It works great. The only con is how massive it is. I had to use a stand. It runs great and super hot. I use powder detergent as recommended that’s was the hardest thing for me to find in store, I found it at Walmart for like 6 bucks but for every run you only use 2 teaspoons, it’s gonna last a long time. I love love love it. Actually I changed my mind it’s fine how big it is because it means more room. It dries so good too. And it’s so pretty to look at. And it’s super portable and reasonably light to move around. I don’t have it hooked up to anything like I said, I let it drain into the bucket ( I rinse my dishes before hand) and then to put the water in I just pour 3-4 pitchers full ( the pitcher it comes with) and it’s all set. The delivery was amazingly fast. I ordered it on the 8th Amazon date said the 17th it came on the 11th!!! Must buy

Had it 2 years and recommend
Had it 2 years and still going strong!!! This is the best thing ever! We don’t use it hooked up to a water source but appreciate it can still be used by pouring water in the top and emptying the water in a bucket. Like this, I’ve been able to keep my sink area clear and put this out of the way. It takes about three of the included buckets to fill it. We use it for baby bottles and normal dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc. it can actually hold a lot! I only recommend being careful that nothing falls down the basket or else the spinner stops (which is good, so it doesn’t break, but just important to know.) The filter is easy to remove and clean. It works on dried spaghetti and dries things really well. If you don’t want to dry it, I think it only takes like 20 min max and you can stop the cycle.

Great cleaning — slightly spatially challenged
This cleans really well. Only gave it four stars because the racks aren’t as great as they could be and the little shelf thing on the side to hold “mugs” is too small to fit anything other than a few teacups or kids cups, so I put some utensils that didn’t fit in the basket there — my fruit peeler and my mini pasta fork. I wish there was a bit more space or things were arranged differently and it didn’t dry things completely but overall I’m very impressed by how clean the dishes came out! And it was very easy to set up and use. I LOATHE doing dishes so this is very much worth the money to me.

I had such high hopes
As a mom with 3 small children this was a “major purchase” for myself.. to make life just a tad bit easier. But i wasted $250 that i really didn’t have instead. It does not sterilize at all, it hardly even gets lukewarm warm. I bought the best dishwasher detergent, i tried all the settings. This thing sucks. Everything still looks gross- every single time. Dry? Heck no. Not after an hour. When it was delivered the inside was wet & smelled weird. I ran it empty to clean it. I thoroughly rinse my dishes. I did all things correctly. It is a big waste of money & shipping it back (it’s huge & i carry three kids around everywhere i go) isn’t ideal at all. So that was disappointing. Don’t be me & be out $250 just to hand wash the dishes 90 minutes later

Worthy
This washer works great, worth every dime. Quite, low to no noise, all items dry very well. Small inside but holds plenty if packed right. Has 2 ways to fill, which is good because if I need to use the faucet while it's running i don't have to use the hose i can just fill it up luv this option. Durable
