Fantastic case, great fit, replace screen protector with a real one
I know... The S8 active "has its own built in case." But let me tell you something about me. I. Destroy. Phones. No, not on purpose. I leave them on top of cars. I jump into pools, lakes, the ocean with them. I drop them on concrete. On tile. On fire. I drop hammers on them. I forget they are on my lap then I stand up. Once I was hit by a car while crossing the street and, you guessed it, it destroyed my phone. And parts of my body, but that's another story. So I bought the S8 active, and then looked for a rugged case that didn't look too hideous, and had a belt clip so that I can look like a dad. (Disclaimer, I am not a dad.) Then I found this bad boy. This is a solid case. It's your typical hard plastic / soft rubber combo for strength and shock absorbing. You can tell right away that they didn't cut corners. Not only does this case look sleek, the fit is spot on. A little hard to get the phone in the first time, but that's a good thing, because a case that's too big or two small can end up doing more damage in the long run in my opinion. The S8 active already has a little weight to it, so with this case you do have quite a slab of beautiful screen in your hand, so small hands might strain a little, but for me the size is just right, and the case has much more grip than the phone did on its own, so it feels much more secure in my hand now.The only thing I dislike about this case is the screen protector. You can definitely feel a change in sensitivity when using the phone, especially typing. Now I've had several similar cases and they've all been the same, this isn't an issue with the case, rather a symptom of a case with a screen protector vs a phone with a screen protector applied directly to the screen. Even the screen protectors for the regular s8 or s9 are like this, so Samsung got smart and included an option to increase touch sensitivity. Unfortunately we don't have this option on our actives, but it's not that big of a deal. It's easy to remove the case's screen protector and just drop on your own, applied directly to the screen. Also, I wish there was a hole in the screen protector for the front camera. It doesn't seem to effect photo quality much, but I know as I use the case it will more and more. Time to get out the exacto knife!

Does What It Is Supposed To Do
UPDATE: 02Nov2020I've had this phone case for my Samsung Galaxy S8 Active for months now and I am totally impressed. What I really appreciate about this case is the integrity of the material itself. Compared to Otterbox cases which has rubber material, this Unicorn Beetle Case will never sag (Otterbox rubber will sag in the long run). The feel is still quite slippery, you'd still see that rainbow effect on the built-in screen protector, taking the case off is a slight hassle if you don't remember / know how to, but if you can live with the minor inconveniences, this really is one of the best alternative protective phone case you can choose from.Highly recommended? ABSOLUTELY!------------------------I ordered this for my recently bought Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. My original plan is to get an Otterbox Defender case, but it seems like Otterbox might've discontinued the case for this specific model.First things first, this is not anywhere near Otterbox material, but it does its intended function of protecting your phone. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is already rugged by itself, but my review is of my own opinion and my own experience of the phone case applied to my device.Note:- There are two (2) pieces to this phone case (keep this in mind): the front case cover with a plastic overlay attached to it (this is not a separate transparent screen protector), and the semi-rubber/plastic cover that protects the edges and the back of the phone. The Good:- This is the Unicorn Beetle case meant for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active made by Supcase. I installed this on my device and it is snug. I've already dropped my phone thrice and I was not disappointed (so far).- The front part of the case has an attached clear plastic overlay which helps prevent the accumulation of accidental scratches on the screen of your phone. We all know that Gorilla glasses can be scratched and no phone screen is ever invincible to scratches.- The front clear plastic overlay has only one open hole which is positioned at the ear speaker for phone calls. The rest of the front clear plastic overlay is closed which is an advantage. The less openings, the less chances of getting any dirt under the protective casing.- The semi-rubber/plastic material which protects the edges and the back of the phone is alright, nothing fancy. It has an opening for the camera flash, the camera itself, and the fingerprint sensor. It also provides cover for your 3.5 mm audio jack and the C-Type charging/data port. Microphones have opening on the case, including the speaker. The volume buttons are raised slightly higher than the power button. The Bixby button is not raised to prevent accidental activation of the device assistant. The Bad:- As most reviewers here have mentioned, the clear plastic overlay is notorious for accumulating fingerprints after constant phone usage. I attest to this that it does accumulate markings which would require you to clean it off every once in a while, or maybe often for anyone with sweaty or oily hands.- Although there is a built-in clear plastic overlay, the phone is still not safe from getting anything under it throught the hole positioned at the speaker for phone calls. If liquid is accidentally spilled on the front case, you'll get some under the clear plastic overlay. Dust/stray lint included, but not very much.- The semi-rubber/plastic protector that wraps around the edges and covers the back of the phone tends to be somewhat slippery (also as other reviewers have mentioned). I've been using this phone protector for weeks now and I was hoping that it would be less slippery after constant usage (similar to Otterbox Defender cases that tends to be shiny and somewhat slippery on the initial first use but in the long run becomes totally rubbery in feel and not anymore slippery). In my current experience, that does not go away.- I have mentioned in the beginning that this is nowhere near Otterbox Defender cases (which has three (3) parts to it - the front case, the back case, and the rubber covering the edges and back of the phone). This case has only the front case, and the semi-rubber/plastic material cover. You don't have that back plastic case (opposed to what the Otterbox Defender case has). It's no big deal but is worth mentioning again anyway.- Going back to the front clear plastic overlay, although I never had any issue with the touch sensitivity that other reviewers here had described, I have noticed that under the clear plastic overlay, there's this weird shine (rainbow) that looks like trapped liquid but it is not that appeared. Though it never bothered me, this I have yet to check.Not-So-Final Thoughts:As I keep saying, this case is not your typical Otterbox Defender case. In my experience, it does what it is supposed to do. Currently, it holds up well and hopefully it would be that way for a long time before I replace it. I would highly recommend this Unicorn Beetle protective case meant for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, if you could live with the few cons I just mentioned above, go for it.

Awesome product, not so good factory support.
The product is rock solid and I love the look and feel of it. The design is different from other cases I have had. Instead of a inner case wrapped in hard plastic/rubber, the front portion of Supecase with the protective screen cover wraps around the sides of the phone holding it in place then presses into the composite back. This makes it only two pieces with the integrated impact zones on the corners, front edge and back. On the inside there is a soft rubber pad that separates the back of the case from the phone and provides shock protection. I love this product and have them on every portable device I own. There are only two issues with this product from my perspective. Day one I searched on-line for a retailer for an additional belt holsters, none can be found. I also contacted the manufacture/importer to see if I could buy the holster directly from them, NO RESPONSE. I'm willing to buy the replacement parts, they should have an outlet for them or at least respond to my emails. Second issue is also with the belt holster. You cannot reverse the phone in the holster, it will only go in one way. The Otterboxes I have had in the past would let you put the phone in screen facing out. This would allow it to be clipped to something on my desk or elsewhere or even act as a kick stand for viewing video without holding the phone. So overall I give the actual product 5 stars and their support no stars due to the lack of contacting me back.

Awesome case, but that screen protector...
The screen protector that comes with the case reduces the screen sensitivity noticeably. After trying to get used to it, I finally took a sharp knife to it and cut it out. I have a good screen protector anyway, so the extra one was not necessary. Problem solved! The case itself is very well made, durable and fits the phone perfectly. Much better value and performance than Otterbox which cost 3 times as much.

Meh
It's a chunky case but the screen protector is awful and scratches really easily. Dust gets behind it and scratches the phone screen. If you get your phone wet, and I do often, you have to take the phone out of the case to dry it or the water stays in there forever. Pretty poor really
