Works so far. Just ran the car long enough to make sure the needle moves. 1985 Chevy 305. Had to buy a fitting from my local hardware store to put the sensor in the side of the head, as the supplied fitting was the larger size.For anyone who has a problem with it leaking, find a rubber washer that will fit inside the larger fitting and around the sensor, then screw the smaller fitting into the larger fitting as normal.

This product is the same Chinese crap that all these gauges are they don’t work. The spring inside gets locked up. This is my fourth one I bought this year. It’s a shame that Amazon let people sell this crap on their site.

I bought this gauge to replace another one that I bought from another manufacturer that went kaput after only two days. This Dyno gauge is functioning perfectly without a single issue. There is only one thing about this gauge that could be improved and that's the readability at night. I have this gauge mounted in a bezel on the left side of my center console next to my right knee. During the day when there is plenty of ambient light it's fine and easy to read. At night, without ambient light it's not easy at all to read the location of the small, red needle against the black background. I sometimes have to stare at it hoping that my eyes adjust enough to find where the needle is. A larger, white needle would have been better than the small red one. Not a big deal and certainly not problematic enough to remove a star from a 5-star review. Great item overall.

This temp sensor is exactly the look and function I want (mechanical, background light, etc.). However, the probe is way too long! The whole unit is about 2-3/4in long. From top of thread to bottom of probe is about 2-1/4in. And the probe (starting from bottom of threads) is 1-3/4 long! Additionally, there is now way to detach the probe or gauge from the loom and wire. You would have to drill or find a big enough hole through the firewall to feed the probe through and install it inside of the vehicle. I would recommend this only if your vehicle/engine meets these specs I have listed.Keywords: ease of installing, functionality, length, long, size
