great ingredients but rancid
I purchased Eagle Pack Chicken and Pork for my dog after researching dog foods that were similar in ingredients to the expensive Royal Canin she had temporarily been on from the vet. The rating for this brand at Pawdiet.com is high, the ingredients mostly free of unnecessary additives, and the value very good. I was very disappointed then, to receive a bag of food that smelled like rancid oil. The best-by date on the bag is four months away. Apparently my terrier agrees with me because she spit out the kibble when I gave her a few by hand and she normally tastes EVERYTHING (dirt, drywall, the mail, plastic bottle caps, etc.) . I mixed some of it with her food and she wouldn't touch it. To get rid of it, I'm having to mix it with her regular food (Iams) and then add chicken liver gravy to make it edible to her. So, I don't know if it is this particular seller, the brand, or this batch, but I recommend caution.

Great Food; Amazon So-So!
The stars are representative of Amazon, more so than the product. Eagle Pack is a quality dog food that is one of the fewest brands of dog food on the market that has never had a recall (to date), however the first package I received was rancid yet only a couple of months from “expiration/best by.” Amazon made good on the order and replaced it but the second bag was again just within a few months from expiration and not as fresh as I would have preferred. While I did contact Eagle Pack to advise them, the dog food was shipped from an Amazon store & not directly from Eagle Pack. This tells me Amazon is likely not rotating the food and/or not storing it in a cool, dry area? This makes me wonder if the other less than stellar reviewers had similar circumstances (that the poor quality was not because of the producers but improper handling?)My 7 month old pup has done fine with the replacement bag of food and I will continue feeding her Eagle Pack food, but will not be getting it from Amazon.

Dog loves it
I bought this for my frenchie. She is getting older (10 years old) and missing some teeth now. She eats this and is happy. She used to have the crusty tears around her eyes that frenchies get, but gone now with this better quality dog food. If you can snag the one that is the littler bites it's good for the little dogs or dogs like mine with some missing teeth as they age.

My Dog, Angel Loves Eagle Pack Dog Food.
Eagle is an excellent food product. Eagle has all the important ingredients that you need to keep your dog healthy and happy. The ingredients listed are healthy for my dog plus, she loves the food. I personally think Eagle cares about dogs, so they put the best in their food and your dog and my dog get the benefit of a great dog food. I also like the ability to order on line and in a few days it is at my doorstep, no more lugging a big bag of dog food around.

Excellent
My dog typically gets diarrhea from natural dog foods that don't have corn, wheat, or soy but this didn't bother her. I am currently waiting for the large breed dog food which I'm sure she will enjoy also. I only got the chicken and pork meal formula because it came in a small (6lb) bag just to try incase she didn't like it or if it didn't agree with her as the large breed version has very similar ingredients as the the chicken and prom meal. At a lean 105lbs, I'm sure she will benefit from the joint support!

Last 2 deliveries seemed to be bad
I’ve been using Eagle Pack for years. The last 2 deliveries smelled rancid and had no expiration dates on them. My dog didn’t want to eat it, but I put some chicken broth on it. He ate it and got sick. Took him off it and tried again a week later. He got sick again. Have been making my own dog food for 2 months and he is doing great! No more commercial dog food for my dog.

HIghly recommened by my pet trainer
My dogs actually like this food. It came very highly recommended by our pet trainer. Our pink skin dogs seem to always have skin issues and this pure, natural food is helping them out. Its not expensive either.

I'm sure it's quality stuff. But the dog refused to eat after the first bowl.
I'm sure it's quality stuff. But the dog refused to eat after the first bowl. Then I had to deal with two days of diarrhea, so I have about 12 pounds left and have now switched to Purina One and she's snarfing it down. The search continues, but next time I'll try a 4# bag first.Latest success is "Crave". 5 star review on DFA, and she eats it (if she can't beg people food.)I'll be tossing the Eagle.I've often wondered how many of the 5 star reviews were planted by dog food companies? They differ so much from my experience.
