Never Received
I never received this game from the seller. I contacted them after a month and they gave me a refund immediately. I highly recommend buying this game from a different source as it is a great game to play.

complex interface, boring
Could not get into it. The interface is klunky and complex. There's a lot of flying through space to get anywhere. Time shift option is helpful but a super thrust would be better (Freelancer). Being able to save only in space stations when it takes a long time to do anything is terrible. I might give it another try when I have the time

It's ok. . .
The game has poor graphics compared to the other games like this that I have played. Slightly realistic with all the time it takes to do anything, but it's not really all that engaging.

Beware: this game is addicting
One of the first things this game's manual tells you is, "Say goodbye to a social life and/or sleep." This couldn't be truer! After I started playing this game, some of my friends thought I died because I became so engrossed in it. This game is very much like a solo version of EVE Online, which has its merits and its drawbacks. On the plus side, you don't have to share the universe with other real players, so you're free to progress at your own pace and you don't have to worry about griefers. On the bad side, the AI just can't ever pose the kind of challenge a real player ever would. The game's story itself, while interesting, doesn't really pull you in as much as it could. I found it much more fun to just do my own thing and ignore the game's story unless the rewards were worth my time (which is rare). There's a plethora of unofficial mods on the game's official forum that also make great additions to this game, and if you don't care about posting your gamer stats on their rankings web site, I strongly recommend trying them out because I think they make the game MUCH better. My complaints about this game are few and far between. Pathing can be pretty bad and I've lost track of how many times I've crashed into asteroids or stations while auto-piloting. During large fleet engagements, the game can get very laggy and take away from the awesome experience of watching two giant fleets blow each other to smithereens (even on a good gaming computer). My biggest complaint, which is a complaint shared by myself and all of my friends who have played it since I started, is that the game literally throws you into the universe with little to no guidance. Even after reading the colossal game manual, you're still not sure how many of the features work and what to do to become a successful fleet captain. Their time spent putting the manual together probably could've been better spent creating a better in-game tutorial. However, this drawback could also be a good thing: if you're the type that likes to explore the unknown, find out how things work and what works best in a given situation, then you'll love this feature. In all, I love this game and the $10 I paid for it was well worth the countless hours I spent obsessively playing it. I would only recommend buying this game if you want to become a hermit for a few months and feel like playing a game that will immerse you in an immensely complex universe that's yours to master.

X3 Best space simulation in a long time!
X3 is an excellent game, I highly recommend it. Only two warnings, one is that this game will gobble your free time up, two the learning curve is steep so the first couple of hours of play can be a little frustrating. Once you figure out what you are doing the fun never stops.

This game sucks
I'm not sure what everyone else is smoking, but this game is horrible. Boring and worthless. I don't care how cool the graphics are, if the game isn't fun to play, then it goes in the trash, which is where this game is heading unless I can find someone who wants it, which may be difficult. Also, I'm running Windows 7 with 4 GB's of RAM and a dedicated video card, and it still runs like crap. I would not recommend this product.

Still cant get right!
I have all the games in the series, from X.B.T.F. to this one. The combat and missions Suck big time. The economy model is alright, takes time to make money. The only thing thats comes close to the combat model is Battlecruiser 3000. You get a mission and there very little help . If there were not other games in the series I would not be so disapointed with X3 TC.

The X3 Gold Edition boxed set was supposed to have 3 discs: X3 Terran Conflict, X3 Reunion, and the X3 Soundtrack. The game discs appear to work, but the Soundtrack disc was missing. This is not what I think of as Very Good condition. I am very disappointed with both the seller and Amazon (it was provided by Amazon Fulfillment). Now, since I want the games I will not return this product, but I would have really liked to have the Soundtrack too. I guess this is all for now. A good day to everyone (including Amazon, the seller, and anyone reading this review. DK
