Pentel Refill Ink for EnerGel Liquid Gel Pen, (0.5mm), Fine Line, Needle Tip, Black Ink, Box of 12 (LRN5-A)

I was bummed thinking I would always have to buy new pens when the ink ran out. Howeve, these are compatible with my InkJoy Pens so I always have an ink refill for my pens at work and at home now. They come in black blue and red. I have bought so many of these. I appreciate that they're eco-friendly

Buy the pens and just keep ordering these refills. This is a very smooth pen that is reliable. Can't go wrong with price of refills.

These refills work great. They last a long time and write smoothly. It's much cheaper to refill an existing barrel than it is to buy new complete pens.

I'm a dedicated gel ink fan and a bit of a pen snob.My initial impressions of this type of pen are that it lays down a very dark, controlled line. That's as a gel pen should be. It dries pretty fast too. The writing experience is very smooth. Among the smoothest I've used--I'd say it compares with the Uniball Signo 207 but has a darker ink. After it dries the line looks excellent, like that of a Pilot G2 or Zebra Sarasa.It writes more like a liquid ink pen than a gel ink, though. I'd say the most similar product is the Pilot V5. This is better than the V5, though, because it doesn't feather in the paper and it doesn't scratch on the paper as the V5 does. Definitely a better pen.What's the downside? Well, liquid ink pens write on the paper if you just barely touch it, while gel ink requires at least enough pressure to know that you really want to write. Using liquid ink, I tend to accidentally connect letters that I do not intend to. Not problem with a typical gel ink pen. This pen behaves more like a liquid ink pen in that respect. If you like liquid ink (a.k.a. "rollerball") ink pens, then this is the best of all of them that I have seen.For me, though, I give the nod to a real gel pen like the Pilot G2. It's not as smooth but it knows when I want to write and when I am accidentally brushing against the page. This pen does not.

Fits into any energel pen body as described on pentels website. Only opened one so far, but I'm glad they're individually wrapped. Works well, thin line and has not been skippy or scratchy.
