The onion sauce is scrumptious!
The onion sauce is delicious, like the one you get from the old Hot Dog stands in New York City.

Really good
I thought it was pretty good. Get sabrett hot dogs to make it complete.

Same as it ever was
Moved away from NYC years ago and one day recently I thought "I miss that onion sauce"... I'd looked around some time back and didn't see any equivalent on the shelves, so went right for the real thing. Well-packed, an expiration date that was over a year away, and I gotta say it tastes exactly how I remember it. Slather it on a natural-casing dog with a squirt of spicy mustard and it you might as well be standing by a Sabretts cart in NYC (if you can find one, they're increasingly rare). The only thing that makes it less than perfect is that it's expensive for what you get, but for a once-in-a-while thing there is no substitute. One thing of note is that the label says "refrigerate after opening" and also that it has a shelf life of 10 days after opening. A bottle of this would never last ten days at my house but if you plan on keeping it beyond the 10 days the label recommends freezing.

YUM!
YAY Sabrett onions just like the good old days! I took 1 star off, because it's kind of pricey for the size, but I don't use much on a frank (I eat meatless franks) so it should last quite a while. The taste, quality and freshness is no different than the street vendors. I'm so excited! It's delicious. Highly recommend!

The important thing to know is that it is a sabrett product
Brings back memories of my childhood days at Coney Island or on the street corners on Broadway and 42nd Street there was always a separate stand somewhere and a ice cold bottle of soda

They suck
Don't buy these they taste sour or funny. Not the onions they serve on new york hotdogs. And they can't be returned or replaced. Waist of $15.00 for this 1 jar. Very disappointed a give them a 0 of 1-10 grade. Not the same taste I grew up with on long Island and nycity

old time Sabrett's now exists only in my memory
As a long-time NYer who moved out of NYC years ago, I was longing for the old days of a real NYC hot dog. Remember the days when you'd open a jar of Sabretts and eat directly out of the jar because it was so damned good? Well, those days are gone. I took a chance an ordered a jar online. I didn't have any of the packaging issues that many others have experienced. When I opened the jar and tried to journey back to the old days, these onions tasted nothing like what I remembered. It wasn't even pleasant tasting. Mr. Alan S. Geisler would be spinning in his grave if he tasted these. Like many things in life, I have to accept that some things now are only a memory. Sabretts now only exists in Lost New York.
