I did gel nails on myself for the first time and used this kit alongside color gel polish from another brand that came in a kit and had no issues curing. The key do getting an even apex with the builder gel is to do a thin "slip" layer without curing then putting a bead of builder near the apex of your nail. Then tip your hand upside down and kinda let gravity pull the gel naturally to where the apex should be. This was my first time using builder gel and I had no issues. I definitely am going to try to make them look a cleaner around the edges next time.

I use the btartbox nails and I love how they look but the builder gel lifts after one day. I did some research and found that beetles is one of the best gels to use so I figured I would try it. After I put the nails on, I do a thin layer of base and cure for 60 seconds then a thin layer of builder gel and cure for 90 seconds and finally the top coat and cure for 90 seconds. I use very hot water to do the dishes to the point of my hands turning red and I don't baby my nails. I put the gel coat to a test and this picture is day 5 with no lift and my nails are still shiny. I took my time when applying to make sure all edges were covered and I'm in love with this product. I will definitely be recommending this to others and purchasing more from beetles.

Got my nails done at the salon on an impulse for the first time in a very long time and was satisfied with the result, but nothing more. And at $75 after tip AFTER receiving 25% off, keeping it up was gonna be a no from me & my inner Julian Rock. As a last resort, I purchased this due to the reviews, although I had little hope of success due to a long, long history of failed attempts at DIY extensions. This product is both easy to work with, relatively low odor, & after I was done, my initial reaction was that they wouldn't lift, but I'd better give it time to be sure. However, I've since worked twice (food service), & then got bored and decided to file them down some more with the nail drill to modify the shape, & after poking & prodding near the nail bed with the drill for quite some time, distracted by tiny bits of cuticle and dead skin and ADHD, the fill job is 300% in tact with no lifting. I've failed acrylic, brush on gel and poly gel, messy and always ended up lifting, at least a dozen times. So if you've all but lost hope at mastering at home extensions/overlay, try this before you finally give up.

5 stars but my phone won't highlight them all. Best top coat I have used. I'm hard on my nails. The top coat usually wears down and becomes dull within a day. I'm on day 5 and my nails are still shiny and smooth. The consistency is not too thick and the brush is a good shape for application.

It’s great , i’m not sure why some reviews said you had to wipe the top coat after because that’s not the case with this one . I was using the base & top that came with the kit . My nails would only last a little over a week before they started chipping .This was affordable & had good reviews .It’s my first time using builder gel and it was easy i applied a thin coat .Base , builder & then top coat .I used a different brand of gel colors and this set made it look better and like a salon manicure although both were affordable. My nails feel hard and sturdy i will update to see how long my nails last . I will rate it 4 stars for now and update the durability time in 2 weeks .

After trying a couple of other brands, I quickly realized that this was going to be my go-to brand for top and bottom coat as well as gel polish and builder gel.The price is very reasonable. Goes on smooth. Absolutely no chipping. It lasts until I take it off.

I’m enjoying using this builder gel set I stopped wearing acrylic nails after after 20 years and could not grow my own nails. Now I have use it twice and my nails are going really nice. It goes on smooth and has good shine. Worth the money

These are accurately described and they do even out by themselves. I have never used gel at home, this was my first experience. I will say, if you do not clean any displaced gel polish that's on your finger tip or just under your nail edge, and you put it under the UV, it WILL BURN YOU. So it is VERY important that you keep the polish on the nail only!!! Make sure that you clean any excess off from your skin BEFORE you put your nail under the UV lamp. This is essentially resin, and certain resins immediately cure under UV. So it will burn your skin upon curing. Don't keep your finger under the UV light if it is burning!! Take it out and make sure you clean the polish out from under your nail or around your nail before you put it back under the lamp. It shouldn't burn if you have everything cleaned off the skin. It will probably feel warm, because it has resin in it. Over all, I learned very quickly, and the base and top coats were very quick to level out and cure in 60 seconds.
