Amazing customer service, no more neck pain.
Rarely do I write reviews, but this time I feel I must - in a very good way.Purchased the Cotton Carrier G3 1 Camera Harness (Grey) for my photographer daughter. She had been complaining about neck pain from her Canon 7D hanging from the strap around her neck after multi-hour photo-shoots. This did the trick and more. No more neck fatigue. Camera held safely no matter how she moved. Sadly, several hours in, one of the shoulder straps sew points on the chest failed. Still, the carrier held onto the camera, no risk to the equipment - a plus in my opinion that despite a strap failure, camera was still safe. Saddened by the potential loss of an otherwise good product, I sent an e-mail the next day to Cotton carrier on their web-site asking about repairs. Despite it being Sunday, Brook from Cotton Carrier responded that afternoon and before COB Monday a new replacement was on its way - no fuss, and no shipping costs. Unparalleled customer service, and an excellent product. It arrived a couple of days later and my daughter already has it ready for her next photo-shoot. My Daughter cannot be happier with this product, she said it was the first time she didn't have to worry about the camera or lenses banging into things on a shoot. I cannot be happier with the customer service. I'm likely going to get a second one for myself. Definitely recommended .As for the product itself, it is of high quality design with solid good materials and is lighter than either of us expected. I think our situation was a fluke judging by the way the rest of the carrier appears to be made. There are a couple of nice spots to tuck away extra CF cards. We love how the straps and connectors are set in such a way that they won't pull out of the connectors without serious force applied, very nice attention to detail (Once had a different camera case that went around the waist from another maker and the strap would pull out of the clasps if we were not careful.) Good price for the quality and utility of the carrier.

Game Changer For Trail Running
I’m a trail runner, but I like my camera too much to leave it at home when I’m out on my runs. You never know when you might stumble upon some wildlife you want to photograph.I spent a lot of time trying to find a solution, but nothing seemed to work. Systems like the Peak Design Capture are not secure enough for running, and the chest packs that secure to an existing backpack are annoying to use. This Cotton Carrier harness is a game changer. I am seriously impressed. It’s secure, comfortable, easy to use, and I can even fit my backpack over it and still use the backpack’s chest and hip straps. Now, it’s not perfect. I don’t like that the clip doesn’t fit into a tripod mount (although I do like that you can screw a tripod mount right into the bottom of the clip without removing it from your camera), and the tripod adapter is extra weight weight and cost. I feel like they should develop some sort of Arca-Swiss adapter plate that lets you quick-connect the Cotton Carrier clip in or out in an instance. They also could have done more to make the materials breathable.Despite those shortcomings, this is an excellent solution, and I’m grateful that somebody designed and produced something that lets me run with my camera.

Took the leap and ordered this, and it was such an appreciated gift!!
This was purchased for my husband who didn't think he really needed it...well, was he wrong!! This is so well designed, the materials are all sturdy, it's adjustable and comfortable to wear, and makes carrying a camera and lens so much easier. The ergonomics of this carrier gives you easy access, more stability, and takes the weight stress from your back and hands. My husband is sooooo happy that I purchased this for him!!

Takes the weight off the neck and shoulders
Works well with heavy lenses, easy to use just gets a little hot wearing it in summer heat here in Arizona

Best Addition to My Kit in Years!!!
I've always been a bit apprehensive about hanging my expensive camera and lens from any chest rig. After having tried one on in my NYC B&H location, I kinda fell in love with this item. Waited a year and realized that I have encountered multiple times where having this item would have made my life so much easier on photo shoots. I bought the single camera version and am now kicking myself for not having the foresight of carrying two cameras. Oh well, just think it through unlike me...Aamazing connection point that is built rock-solid. The chest rig itself is extremely adjustable and allows for some simple items to be carried while also providing a safety leash for your camera (takes the worry out of the situation!) D-rings galore provide point of connectivity for varying items (and the conveniently included rain cover). Buy this thing and your photography will likely improve because of it.

Should have bought this years ago
After nearly years of nearly falling when hiking in the mountains due to being off balance with my heavy camera and lens hanging off my shoulder sling strap, I ran across this harness carrier as a potential solution. First I had a neck strap, that was uncomfortable and then a shoulder strap that was fairly comfortable, but still the camera needed hand support so it wouldn't swing around freely and when hiking this caused an unbalanced situation.I met a photographer who shoots for National Geographic and he was wearing one of these and was raving about the comfort and ease of use. I waited until now however to pull the trigger, and soooo wish I had bought it prior to my recent trip to Armenia and Georgia. I'm getting to old to risk falls and some of the terrain I was hiking in was a bit iffy for me and had I had this carrier, the hikes would have been much easier and safer since I'd have had both hands free. I tried this out over the weekend and love it.It's a bit of a pain to get it initially fit to your body, but once adjusted, you only have one strap to adjust in the future to allow for a jacket or additional or less clothing under the pack. Plus it is very comfortable to wear a day or back pack over this. The design is awesome. It takes a second to remove the camera from the carrier slot, and return it after shooting. And no more camera bouncing around while you walk. So far I have identified no downsides, but it may be a bit warm in hot weather, but the material is fairly vented yet very sturdy, so it my be fine in the warmer conditions. Time will tell. But in my opinion this carrier is a must for anyone hiking or even walking around for hours with a DSLR camera and lens. Now I can hike and walk around with my camera all day taking photos in total comfort and with greatly reduced risk of breaking my neck when hiking in rocky, uneven mountain and canyon terrain.

Good product
Great for packing around heavy lenses in the field. The camera is held in the bracket against the chest and does not swing around like a camera strap does. The vest is well made and sturdy. The directions for strap adjustments could be clearer. The overall price for the vest is high but camera retention and protection is important. Cameras and lenses are very pricey so this helps to protect my investment.

Glad I bought it!
I was surprised how well it fits and holds a heavy camera. I shoot a D500 with a 300mm lens, while riding a bicycle on dirt trails and roads. Never felt like I was losing the camera. It stayed locked in until I needed it. It was also easy to quickly unlock it and shoot.Even in the heat of Thailand, it was not at all uncomfortable to wear.I would recommend it to anyone needing a free hand while carrying a camera or binoculars.

Top quality material.
The harness is made of top quality material and feels very sturdy. It is light and relatively comfortable to wear, whether it's just over a t-shirt, or over a waterproof jacket whilst wearing a backpack. The attaching mechanism is very secure and there is little, if any, chance of the camera falling out accidentally. Although not strictly necessary, I prefer to leave the camera strap attached to the camera and placed around my neck. This way, when I detach it from the harness, I cannot possibly drop it. The included waterproof cover is an added bonus for those quick, unexpected showers as it saves the hassle of removing a backpack and storing the camera away - only to have to reverse the process a few minutes later when the rain stops to get the camera out again! I'm in my mid-seventies now and like to use hiking poles wherever possible. Before buying the harness, the camera would swing from side to side as I hiked. As both my hands were on the poles, I had no means of stopping this from happening - the harness has solved this frustrating problem once and for all! Attaching and extracting the camera are extremely simple operations, simply twist and lift up to extract, slot in and twist to secure. The harness is fully customisable with regards to height and fit on the torso. There are plenty of adjustable straps that cater for all types of clothing being worn and all types of body shapes. Despite being quite expensive for what it is, the harness serves its intended purpose exceptionally well. Let's face it, it would easily outweigh the cost of an unsecured camera or lens that had smashed against a rock face! So, although expensive, I would wholeheartedly recommend this harness to anyone wanting to hike with their camera always at the ready.
