Got it as a gift for my father, he's a gamer kind of, but he's played all the Zelda games and he loves stuff like this. He was so excited to open this on Christmas. He said "I didn't even know they made these".... very cool gift. It's made of a heavy plastic, looks straight out of a Zelda game, and comes with a song book. Price is good, value is good, dad was happy. Great purchase!

Got this for my 3 year old for her birthday. She is obsessed with Zelda games and plays with this ocarina all the time. It's cheap, so I'm sure it's not completely in tune, but it is pretty durable.

Overall the build quality of the product isn’t the best. Came with many scuffs and scratches that are most likely from factory. Definitely out of tune and high notes are either impossible to play or very breathy. Technically functions. More a toy than an instrument. Great for kids and beginners.

Right what we need for our sons music school

I see now what the gentleman who has a series of YouTube videos meant when he discussed the first ocarina to buy for a beginner. This one is hard plastic, probably reasonably resistant to accidental dropping etc. It's walls are thick and the seams are well finished. However the holes had some rough edges and i didn't check the sound quality as i bought it thinking I'd probably lose interest rather than practice enough to become proficient. It had no glaring flaws in tone but, if I were you, I wouldn't take my word for that. It might suffice as a first into to playing this instrument but that will depend on your expectations.

I got this to go with my son’s Link costume for Halloween. He wanted this since he can’t bring a sword to school for his costume. He wanted a ceramic one, but I thought he’d drop it the first day and it would shatter. This is a very sturdy toy and it really plays and comes with a book to tell you how to play. I just wish it came with ear plugs because my kid won’t stop playing it. Lol. The seller was great and reached out to me to make sure I received it.

I was afraid it was gonna be like plastic Easter egg material. Thankfully it's not super glossy like the photo. Only disappointment is the ring on the end of the mouthpiece is a sticker instead of a print or paint. It appeared to be a separate part. I just painted that part with clear nail polish to preserve it from falling off over time because I want to play it. The sound is better than expected. Definitely better than expected. Happy with this purchase!

Looks like the pictures, but sounds terrible. The tone is very inconsistent. Some notes are too sharp, others are too flat, especially the high notes which are either ear-splitting or absent altogether. Terrible for beginners, as it's not a functional instrument. It's the ocarina equivalent of a plastic party whistle, but at least when you blow a whistle you know what to expect.
