easy to use, a time saver

Came on time and as described. Functioned in the 4 foot florescent fixture.

I used these tombstones to convert my fluorescent lights in my garage to LED. My existing ones did not work, even after I required them. If you're handy, they're pretty easy to wire in. Then voila, LED shop lights across the entire setup. Way cheaper than buying new housings and hardwiring.

Worked as advertised with specific fixtures. Liked the prepared ends of the solid copper wires. Using solid copper wiring makes for easier installation using push-in connectors or the Wago brand lever connectors. The only downside I can see is the lack of a pre-drilled hole between the pin connectors for a different older style stand alone fixture setup that requires a screw to hold the tombstone to the plate at the end. That might be a small manufacturing change that would make the product more versatile.

The product is solid and works well with one major issue. This is my first purchase of this style (snap in) tombstone. I started upgrading some fixtures this past weekend using these and had fixtures from two different manufacturers. The body of the tombstone matches perfectly but the base is made thicker by some small gussets and the back of the part sticks out an extra .063" past the body. I couldn't get any of these to drop all the way into the hole and engage without trimming off the gussets and trimming the back closer to flush with the rest of the tombstone. I have to do 125 of these and it's a pain.

First, these are working fine in LED T-8, ballast-free retrofit of 4' fluorescent tubes. I used HyperBY-4c-50G tubes from Home Depot and am very happy with the light- 5000K, 18W, 220° width, so the lab lighting is cleaner and more focused.To these tombstones- the fixtures are 18 year old Lithonia 3 bulb, 4' boxes, and the receptacle to accept the lamp holders were shorter than the JACKYLED's, so I took a grinder to open them up and bent down the tab and they fit in nice and snug.The pigtails were too short to reach the line/load wires, so I took some 18 ga wire from the holders coming out to wire nut in.Took a little trial and error trying to figure out whether to hack the plastic lamp holder or the metal fixture, but the metal ground out very easily.

This product helps make switching old energy consuming fluorescent bulbs light fixtures to energy saving ones that last way way way longer and you don’t have to worry about changing ballast that seems to frequently go out on the old fluorescent light fixtures. Plus the LEDs give off more light using fewer bulbs. I was able to put only 2 LED bulbs in my fixture that took 4 fluorescent bulbs and still had more light. This will definitely pay for itself in very little time and LED bulb lifetime hours are huge. You may never have to change the LED lights again.
