Best Calculator of its Kind - Very nice quality and great value....will buy more of these.
I really like this calculator and this model's particular form factor and size. I was a little worried about this purchase since most everything is made cheaper today than 20-30 years ago. I must say this is a good purchase. Very inexpensive, but excellent quality. Most importantly the display and buttons/keys are top notch. I like the angle of the display, really just right. The calculator worked immediately from the solar cell but was dim. I put in the single AA battery and it was super clear and dark. I really like the auto shut off at about 10 minutes. The 'MU' button/feature is excellent to calculate the % increase and decrease of two values, up or down. The back arrow key is nice to correct a wrong key in value too. Good instructions too that explain how to take advantage of the round up and down and # of digits using the sliding switches. Great product! Thanks to Amazon for making it Prime too.

Came Back and Bought a 2nd One
Ended up buying a second one for work! Nice big buttons and clear screen. Really is probably the BEST size calculator I've used. Some are just so mall and hard to see and the buttons aren't great.... this one IS exactly what you'd be looking for. Battery life seems to Holds up well.... and well.... it does math! No complaints, good quality!

A very good calculator for the price.
When my old corded TI calculator decided after several decades that it wanted to do operations of its own, I began looking around for one with the old school keyboard layout (because I’m old). It has some features my old TI calculator didn’t. For instance, there is a slider that lets you select whether to round up, down or just cut off the extra digit(s). There is also a mark-up/down key. Apparently, these and other features are common on the newer calculators, but they were new to me. The screen is fairly good for a solar powered unit. It would be nice if its angle could be adjusted, but the numbers are large enough that the calculator can be placed so they can be easily read. What I especially like is that the keys have some travel. There is no guessing whether you pushed the key or not. What I don’t like about this unit is that functions solely as a calculator and not as an adding machine with some calculator features. The default data entry position is that all numbers are positive. To enter a negative number, the minus sign must be entered first prior to the number. That’s great, if all you are working with are equations. This entry logic is awful if you are trying to add up a long column of positive and negative numbers. I don’t understand why there can’t be on an otherwise great little machine a slider switch that would enable data entry to use adding machine arithmetic logic. How much can a small switch and some additional programming logic add to the unit’s cost? Looking around for calculators that can be used as adding machines, I found that Sharp has a number of paper tapeless units. The downside is that they cost over twice as much. That said, if you do not routinely add columns of numbers, for under $20 you can’t go wrong.

What a great calculator
What a great calculator for those who have "large" fingers. Display is large and easy to read. Functions are standard and easy to operate. Recharges via any light source. A good value and great for home desktop.

Practical, useful and stays put on desk
I needed a calculator that didn't slide on my desk, was big enough to use easily and wasn't only solar powered. I keep this on my desk in a not so bright room. This calculator was perfect. I only need one hand to use it and it doesn't move or rock while using it. The display is in big numbers that are easy to read. The only improvement I would make would be to either light up the numbers or backlight the screen.

Perfect for what I need it for
This calculator is exactly what I was looking for. My coworker that trained me had an expensive Canon that you could print out of however she only used it for calculating payroll and didn't use the printer option. I didn't want to spend the funds on such an elaborate calculator when I wasn't going to use all the features. The only thing I wished it had was a back light because sometimes I can't see the numbers. However, no stars taken for that as it's just something I realized after purchasing and knew the screen didn't light up when I bought it. Super simple and easy to use and I love that I can leave it on my desk and see what equations I am typing out.

Not a Ten-Key! Standard calculator functions
All you accountants out there know that there are Calculators and there are Ten-Keys... this is not the latter. It does not claim to be a ten-key, I just didn't read the description well enough to determine that it only has standard calculator functions. Aside from the fact that this calculator shows up in the search results for "ten-key calculator", this is really a good calculator for the $. It comes with one AA battery. The keys are large, and it doesn't slide around on my desk thanks to the four small grippy "feet" or "nubs" on the bottom. If you do not know the difference, here's an explanation: Mathematical equation to solve 100-15 Where the operation keys are in [ ]. Calculator: 100 [-] 15 [=] Result Ten-Key: 100 [+] 15 [-] Result Why choose a ten-key? The ten-key option uses fewer key strokes because you can continue to add or subtract from your original string of numbers without needing to use additional functions. For example, now we want to add 50 to our original equation. Here's how you do it: Calculator 100 [-] 15 [=] Result [+] 50 [=] Result2 Ten-key 100 [+] 15 [-] Result 50 [+] Result2
