Quantum Hard Water 82 ct.

Just survived a year long period without use of a kitchen due to a slowly leaking dishwasher - a mishap so traumatic, I found myself considering foregoing installation of another dishwasher during restoration. Fortunately, my fear and frustration eased with time, and we can once again lay claim to a functioning kitchen, complete with new BOSCH brand dishwasher. Although alternating between CASCADE and FINISH brands in the past, we DID take notice that our BOSCH manufacturer recommends FINISH brand dish detergent and rinse, so we complied. When I spied a FINISH detergent specifically for "hard water", I decided to try it in an effort to keep the effects of our harsh well water to a minimum. Although a bit more expensive than the regular FINISH detergents, I don't really mind that much if it helps protect our "investment" in a mid-high range appliance. Although initially concerned with how the FINISH HARD WATER product might interact with the CRYSTAL DRY feature on our dishwasher, I am pleased to say after 5 months use, I have not encountered any problems and am thrilled with how clean and dry everything is. I acknowledge that I've only used my BOSCH appliance and FINISH pods for a short time, however I can report that my 33 year old stoneware, glasses, and silverware are shiny and spotless. I cannot detect any bothersome lingering scent nor residue/mineral deposits inside the dishwasher itself or on the dishes (however I WOULD BE shocked to discover our off-white stoneware NOT succumbing to the usual accumulation of iron which has always required semi annual hand scrubbing to remove... Gee, a girl can only HOPE, right?). So, my opinion after 5 MONTHS USE: So far, so good. My current plan is to continue use of these FINISH HARD WATER DETERGENT pods, as well as the separate liquid FINISH RINSE agent. Right now, they're getting the job done! 18 MONTH UPDATE: Still using FINISH QUANTUM HARD WATER pods; still getting stellar results. After each dishwasher run and corresponding Crystal Dry drying cycle, my dishes, silverware, and glassware are spotless... as is the interior door, dishwasher tub, and gasket (all look brand new!). 2.5 YEAR UPDATE: Consistent use of FINISH QUANTUM HARD WATER pods shows CONSISTENT results. Clear glasses; no spots, clean plates; no residue, clean stainless steel tub interior after use, and no white mineral residue visible on dishwasher gasket. AND dare I declare perhaps a decreased amount of residual iron build up (rusty orange color) on the off-white portions of my stoneware? If correct - truly a MIRACLE! The truly unfortunate part is that this product IS QUITE COSTLY as compared to non-Hard Water detergents. BUMMER!

Great product if you have well water. Regular pods we’re leaving a white film on all of our dishes. These are the only pods that left them sanitized, clean, and sparkling. This will be a continued purchase from here on out!

Works with hard water. Amazon is the only place I can find it. I used to have to use vinegar in my dishwasher but not with this.

If you have hard water this detergent works great. Dishes are film free and seems to help prevent buildup in dishwasher.

Cleans dishes so well. We have very hard well water so that's not an easy task

We have hard well water and use water softener but it’s still impossible to get dishes looking clean out of dishwasher. They always have mineral built up left on them. This is the first dishwasher detergent that actually works! Glasses look clear with now mineral deposits left behind.

The hard water build up ( white residue ) inside my dishwasher has gone away now that I have run 3 loads thru. My dishes seem clean and glasses don't have the little white marks on them. (I had used lots of rinse aid before) Time will tell if I need to buy this again or if I can alternate this product with my regular ( cheaper) dishwasher tablets. Works good. I'd be curious to find out what it is doing to my outbound water drain pipe, perhaps removing build up on it too.

Unfortunately, my water is just to hard and the tabs can't handle it. We have resorted to using 2 pods and detergent booster to get at least some of the dishes clean. We were using 2 pods of another brand with success, no detergent booster needed and each pod was cheaper so we will be going back to that.
