Keeps Accurate Time
I wanted to make my own clocks using pottery slab for a Ladies' Christmas gift exchange and was looking for a good assortment of clock mechanisms which would be easy to work with, have a variety of shaft lengths and hand lengths and keep good time. This Emoon set fit the bill. On two clocks I constructed, I popped in the battery, set the time and watched how they did for two weeks. The clocks stayed in sync with the time and each other; that is super important. Everything that was supposed to come in the set was in the box and the directions were clear enough. The metal hanger kind of snaps around a slightly raised circle of plastic, but it stayed better in place on some than on others. I tightened the the threaded nut with just my fingers and that worked well (the directions warn about over tightening it. The only thing that wasn't clear was which way the rubber washer should face, but I picked a side and it seemed to work fine, so it may not matter. For anyone making your own clocks, and needing to work on the faces before the mechanisms arrive, the diameter of the shaft hole is slightly larger than a standard round wooden pencil. So that the mechanism would not move around (turning and messing up the alignment of the hands with the numbers) and fit well against my not perfectly flat pottery, I ended up taking the clocks back apart and then applied the tiniest ball of poster putty under the metal hanger and then small balls on each corner of the black casing. While the set comes with a variety of clock hands, because I was making small clocks, a lot of the hands were too long, but I fixed that problem by using snips and trimming them shorter. That did not affect performance but made them plainer in appearance, but please note that is why the hands shown do not all match the product picture of the hands In applying the hands you have to apply a fair amount of force to push them on. With some there was an audible sound and you feel the hand sort of click into place. Once that is done they are very secure. If a hand is tilting, either you have not pushed it on enough, or you have bent it. The hands are thin, so easy to bend out of shape and bend back into shape. If you are making your own clocks, and they are an irregular shape, keep in mind that you need to balance the weight or your clocks will tilt when hung from a wall. I fixed that by making stands for two of my Kentucky clocks and putting a supporting nail under the heavier end of the one I kept and hung on my own wall. I tried hanging the clocks both from the included white hanger that nails into the wall and hooks into the metal hanger, and directly from a nail. Both worked fine. You need to allow some time for delivery, but that was clear on the product page and accurate. If I decide to make additional clocks, I would not hesitate to purchase these clock mechanisms again. It made for a fun project with an end result which was both pretty and useful.

They work, they’re cheap, would buy again
I’ve already used two of these and they have been running for around a week. Time is still correct so I declare these good. Time will tell how good they are but I have absolutely no complaint. The hands provided are short and long. I had a medium length application and shortened the aluminum hands ( really just one) with a pair of scissors, easy peasy. Caution, if you’re all thumbs, get someone with a good feel for delicate work. This hands are not for the ham fisted. Great buy. Update: 5/23/23. I received these clock repair kits early THIS month. One of the two repaired clocks stopped. Resetting the time brought it back to life but I removed one star for the moment. Poor battery contact could be the fault, maybe not the mechanism. Time will tell and so will I. Update: 6/23/23. Same clock stopped again. Battery at 1.38 volts. Installed fresh Duracell, back running again. Still only have two new clock kits in operation, must implement more for accurate appraisal.

Don't recommend unless you want to litterly pass time
Not very user friendly. Used for a camp, and had 4 adults trying to figure it out. Our bases were just plain old cardboard, and it was still hard to make it work. Spent about 20 minutes per clock to get them to work. Don't recommend unless you want to litterly pass time. Overall, nice quality, but the user friendliness of this product is not recommended.

Good value
Good value for the money. Good assortment of clock hands included. This is great if you want to make different styles not if you want 10 exactly the same style.
