Fire Behavior and Combustion Processes

A great fire physics and chemistry book. I bought this for an upcoming course this fall so that I could read it ahead of time because I was wondering how complex this course was. Truth be told, this book isn't as complicated as one would expect from a physics book. In the beginning of the book, it goes over the general physics of atoms and so on, and other basic physics topics.Here's a list of the chapters this book goes over:1. Fire service history2. Fire chemistry3. Combustion processes4. Extinguishing agents5. Fire fighting tactics and strategies6. Special concerns in fire fighting7. High rise building fires8. Wildland fires9. Transportation fires (i.e. cars)10. Hazardous materials and warning systemsI haven't read 100% of the book as of yet, but so far, I'm not lost. I get everything. Everything is simple. It was shocking. However, there are a lot of key points in this book, of course, so I recommend studying this like once a day.

It's like they say, you pay for the quality that you receive. A bit worn, but ultimately was a great deal! I recommend the seller.

I need chemistry for dummies to understand better. It’s required for a class so no choice. Wouldn’t recommend unless needed for a class.

Great book, easy reading. I like the inserts and side bars. The questions at the end of the chapters are great for review.

I needed this textbook for my Fire Technology degree. It was very informative and helped me pass the class with ease.The book is filled with diagrams and photos which are really helpful!Not much more to say!
