It came with a European plug

Machine is provided with type F schuko plug, not a UAE-compatible plug. While not a big issue, this should be clearly listed and it isn't. It should really be illegal to sell incompatible appliances in UAE without mentioning that fact.

I paid £120 for the Citiz machine in September 2025 and that included 50 coffee pods from Nespresso. It seemed expensive to me because I remember at one point these were basically free. However, it is an excellent machine. It makes great coffee, requires almost no maintenance, isn’t too loud, looks ok and takes up relatively modest counter space. I’m happy with it.

Bought this in December 2023, so about two and a half years ago ago. My main concern when it first arrived was indeed longevity. Wasn’t sure if it would last a year. Delighted to say it’s still going strong despite the fact that I completely failed to remember to clean it for the first two years. It was only after the chamber started leaking too much water into the pod capture tray that I got round to doing that. A food clean and it’s been right as rain ever since. Agree with some reviews on here that it’s a bit noisy, but I have nothing to compare it with other than the machines they use in coffee shops, which are way louder. All I can say is it isn’t any noisier than I expected. All in all, a great product that performs exactly as I’d hoped.

Bought as replacement for my old Nespresso machine. Great looking machine, easy to use and clean. Took advantage of the offer of 50 free coffee pods and 2 travel mugs which we were very pleased with.

1 week in, i'm using it (having retired my 18 year old Gaggia Classic). So far, so good. I have not noticed any issues of leaks or sputtering on Aldi generic pods (i have also used Nespresso). Heats up quickly, as most systems do. I use it for Lungo shots, I make them up to long coffee's with a touch of milk. I have emptied the pod catch tray just once so far, and although there is a small amount clear water in there, having used a mix of Nespresso and Generic, I don't know if this is 'spill' from use of generics or if it is clear water run off drips from the release mechanism, as it does dislodge some trapper water from the spout, so no reason to imagine it wouldn't from the rear either? Doesn't appear to any hassle to me, so far. So far, I like it. Neat and tidy on the bench top, larger tank than some, but not as large as my Gaggia.
