A great option for light based sleepers...
So, you're one of those people who can't sleep with ambient light sources. You know, those LEDs that somehow turn an otherwise dark room into a brightly lit room with your eyes. This is the clock for you.I read all the reviews, I weighed all the negative experiences, and still decided to get this clock despite there being other options because of the features. The motivating features for me were the thermometer, hygrometer, dim/brightness settings, large numbers, and faux wood look.Yes, it's plastic. Yes, it's lightweight. And yes, it faux wood. It's all this things, but I bought it because I really like that faux wood. Hear me out. I leave the clock on the lowest light level, because at night it's perfect. Not too bright, but dim enough that it isn't lighting up the room. However, in the daytime you just see this black block of wood, which is fine because I have a computer right there. It's beautifully unassuming. The clock has these huge numbers, lit in white, which allows me to see them without putting my glasses on. Before, I has to look into the kitchen and check the stove clock in order to see the time. The bonus feature, which I either forgot about or missed was the battery backup. Luckily I had some batteries and I was able to use it the following day.I haven't actually set any alarm though I have adjusted the alarm settings, this weekend will be my first test of it. But it's plenty loud and based on the tone annoying enough that it should rip me out of the deepest sleep. This isn't the cheapest clock. For what you're getting it has a lot of value but there are ways in which it could be better. First, some padded feet. Just a few thin pieces of foam rubber so it doesn't sound so cheaply made. Second, the ability to set a dimness level based on a time or the light level in the room.My only concern I have at the moment is the actual LED segments. Depending on the thing you're doing, the segments light up with different brightness levels. So, for instance, in mine, the top segment in the 0 for Dim L0x, is brighter than all the other segments. Yet, in normal clock mode, the top segments seem dimmer. I don't know why this is yet, if it's a result of the thickness of the faux wood covering or something else at play. It works and I like it, a lot!I brood over my decisions relentlessly and this has sat in a list for months before I made the purchase, but my decision came down to the feature set and look. Had I found a different clock with as many features with this style of wood look, I might have gotten it but I wanted something with white numbers, something that could be dimmed low to reduce the ambient light, and something that had the suit of features this clock had.The only feature I really wanted that this clock doesn't have is, I wanted an atomic clock. This feature would reduce the complexity of the buttons to simply the alarm buttons, snooze button, time set (for alarms) and a means of setting the time zone.Oh, I forgot, the date (calendar) feature is amazing! They included an intelligent date feature so when you set it, it knows based on the year, month and day exactly what day of the week that day falls. A atomic clock feature would negate having to set the date, but I thought that was a thoughtful feature addition. Small but meaningful.Right now, I'm extremely happy with this clock. I'll update it as time goes on.

I Like it!
getting a bit older and needed a clock by my bed I could easily read in the middle of the night! This works great! Also, last digital alarm clock I had the temperature reading was off by 6 degrees and progressively getting worse! Not wanting to do the conversion in the wee hours of the morning I went with this clock! Its larger and easier to read plus thermometer is spot on!

12v DC and Battery Backup. Great for RV!
We just ordered another one of these clocks for our RV Camping Trailer. It is powered by the RV 12V DC system and does NOT require a 120V plug, though it does come with an adapter for 120V when you're using it at home. We don't sleep next to our iPhones due to the radiation exposure, so this is a great option. This unit does have AAA battery back up too. We love the design of this unit. It has all function buttons on top and they are clearly marked. Setting time and alarms, as well quickly adjusting the dimming function could not be easier, unlike some similar units with obscure unmarked button on the back. The clock is easily readable, but, as others have noticed, it's dimmest setting is just a little brighter than desired for sleeping. Temp and humidity are also a plus!

Does its job, but it's not perfect
It does what it says on the tin. Good loud alarm, adjustable brightness, battery backup works. When I received mine, one of the battery contacts had fallen out, and had to sort of be "shoved" back in the case, with no secure connection. Sort of poor manufacturing. I also dislike that when setting, you can only go in one direction. A fair compromise though, it already has a bunch of buttons on it.

Failed after 3.5 months
I write a lot of google reviews for businesses, but hardly any for Amazon. Since I trust reviews from others, I felt I needed to speak up.At first this was great. Easy to read, easy to set, battery back up, multiple alarm modes. Though at the time I wished I could view the alarm time set (my old clock radio had that option at the bottom) so if I wanted to verify I had the right time (I change it often), I wouldn't have to remember which button to count from on the top in the dark to view it. But I would have given it 5 stars at the time. This morning when I woke up for the bathroom (sorry if tmi) you can see the weird lighted time, date, humidity, extra lines and bars, multiple alarm modes showing, etc. I didn't have any appointments today so I wasn't too worried about the alarm going off at the right time or I would have grabbed my phone from the other room. It went off at the correct time but how can I ever trust it, or know what time it actually is? I even unplugged it in the morning to reboot and some features came back but not all. Tried again when I returned home a few minutes ago and it still looks screwed up. Return window ended at the end of January. Guess this will go in the garbage.

It falls over
This clock is very tipsy and falls over when I touch it. It needs a counterweight on the back to keep it from falling over. There are too many other buttons near the snooze button. I inevitably change other settings while trying to hit the snooze button. The lowest brightness setting is still too bright for my preference. The clock is easy to read and alarm functions are easy to set.

Works great and very classy looking in person.
Very nice looking, dimmable to fairly dim. Date and Dual alarm for weekends vs weekdays, temperature feature is nice, Backup power is alkaline battery and that works good we found out after a few power outages. Alarm sound starts with a quiet beep by by beep 3-4 its LOUD. Would be nicer to have it beep for 5 beeps quiet tone, then 5 louder, then 5 loudest so you can turn it off before it wakes up the whole house. Other than that after 1 month, been great so far!
