Screen Protector For Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen6/Gen7 Touch Screen Laptop 14Inch Draw&Write Like Paper Screen Protector (14inch 16:10 draw like paper)

I'm not sure why this product isn't rated higher overall. I think maybe the install is a little frustrating to folks and I will agree that installing a screen protector of this size is a little tougher and requires more care than one for a phone screen. However, what is the alternative? The only thing I have seen that makes such and install easier is a giant throw-away plastic apparatus that helps center the film over the screen but that generates a massive amount of plastic garbage. This screen protector comes with a simple cardboard backing to prevent bending in the package and the essentials for a clean install that. It took me about 20 minutes to get my screen all cleaned up (gen 7 X1 yoga) get this film lined up (had to pull up the corner twice after sticking because the alignment wasn't quite perfect), and then squeegee out a few bubbles. I was impressed that I could pull up a corner that I'd already stuck to the screen and it went down a 2nd and even 3rd time with no visible deformation. The vast majority of the film stuck to the screen very nicely with zero bubbles and the few that were there were quite easy to get out. The thickness and texture of this screen protector were also impressive. This definitely offers some impact protection to the screen but it's the reduction in fingerprint visibility, clarity, reduced glare and the very nice writing texture that I am most happy with. Install was trickier than a phone for sure, but worth it. I would absolutely buy this again.

Won't fit any version of Thinkpad x1 yoga, I have gen 5, gen 6, gen 7, gen 8 and gen 9, Neither one can match this. Photo shows the X1 yoga gen 6.

The product fit is perfect. The installation is a headache. The product comes with two sets of installation instructions with differing methods. The provided black flannel leaves lint on the screen that ends in bubbles in the protector. It is impossible to install without leaving bubbles with this.

Item arrives in a very sturdy and well prepared package, no damage, this is what I worried before I placed the order.The screen protector is thick and rigid, yes it is PET material not modern silicone modified TPU, when writing with a stylus I feel I am writing on a hard surface not rubber coated surface.It also fit X1 Yoga gen 7 without computer vision model (those with 3 sensor holes in LCD), but need to cut a little bit left side of the upper slot for 1 Yoga gen 7 with computer vision (those with 4 sensor holes in LCD).
