I eat these as snacks while hiking and they are tasty, dont make you thirsty, and are high in calories and healthy fats.

The fact the bars are individually wrapped is a nice touch, even if the pack was opened in a wet environment the bars would stay dry. The outer foil/plastic wrap is fairly thick, think heavy duty aluminum foil backed by a thicker shopping bag but all one piece.These taste quite good to me, especially for purely survival food as opposed to backpacking meals. Not too sweet and not bland, best described as dense poundcake.The plastic around individual bars is very thin and the inside of the package was oily which made the individual bars a bit slippery.

Got this for emergency so we didn’t get to thy it. Came fully sealed. Very happy with my purchase.

One of the packs was damaged so I had to return the whole thing. It would have been nice if they could have just had one of the packs replaced. Never got to taste it, so can't comment on the quality. The price was the best I saw though. The return happened with no issues.

Have had these for a year or so. Packet was fresh, food was surprisingly good.The flavor:Very sweet, like a sugar cookie. Slight taste of lemon.The texture:Very weak gainular structure that quickly reduces to a .5cm² particles. They'll stay in the block form until bite. The particles are quick to melt.The weight:Kinda heavy to be honest. 9 bars in a backpack is heavy. I'd suggest breaking one pack into 3 and distribute them amongst your fellow hikers or consider vacuum sealing the others for later.Thirst:Can't say they made me thirsty. But there's a slight film coating of flavor on my tongue 3 minutes after consuming it.Impression:These would be my best friend in the wild while lost. I'd fight wild dogs to keep these babies.Solid product, I highly recommend it.

Got these for my wife in an effort to put some weight back on her after 6 cycles of chemo and a major surgery. She actually likes them, and will eat one or two per day. She’s finally beginning to gain some and hopefully will soon be at 100 lbs again. These are a great source of calories!

These are not too sweet, and do not make me thirsty. They actually taste quite good, and I keep ordering because I often eat a bar instead of a meal. They are probably better for me than fast food...
