Frequent battery changes
I purchased for my classroom to use as students sign in and out of my room. I really like the idea of the motion sensor, how easy it was to read, and the brightness. However- it doesn’t keep accurate time and it goes through batteries every TWO WEEKS! I needed one that was battery operated, because I don’t have an electrical outlet nearby, but I wasn’t expecting to need so many batteries.UPDATE: full refund provided. Attentive and great customer service.

EXCELLENT...but...
I LOVE the overall design of this clock...very big and clear, thin and light. Minimalist, clean, and uncomplicated. Especially at a 10 dollar price point, this is an exceptionally stylish and cool-looking alarm clock. The only downside, as one or two other customers mentioned, is that the display is BRIGHTER THAN THE SURFACE OF THE G.D. SUN. I've never seen a clock so bright. It's so bright that I don't even need to turn on my bedroom lights to navigate my bedroom when it's plugged in. It is INSANELY BRIGHT.Thankfully, when it's only running on batteries, it only displays once you clap or shout at it, and very specifically that. My air conditioner is fairly loud and isn't more than 3 feet away from it, yet when the AC activates the clock remains off.I like the design so much that I'm willing to make sacrifices to accommodate it's one flaw. Here are the 3 solutions I've come up with;1) Just live with the battery-only mode. This should be good enough for most people.2) If you'd like to see the time during daylight hours when brightness isn't a problem, attach a timer outlet to the power cord so that it only operates in battery mode at night as you rest.3) If you need it to display constantly, get a replacement shield for a welder visor and cut it to the size of the display. Apparently they're sold at NAPA stores for like 3.50. This would negate the mirror-effect of the display, but unless you very specifically wanted that feature it probably wouldn't detract from the aesthetic that much.Again...great clock, but VERY BRIGHT.

Cheap - failed
Worked well for about a year - too bright at lowest setting. Then all of a sudden starting malfunctioning. Numbers faded and you couldn’t read it at all. Not worth it.

Compact, easy to read and colorful
Nice little led clock with a rainbow effect across the number faces. Typical iffy instrucion sheet but not too horrible. Some mention of voice activation during battery only useage, but zero instructions on how to use that feature IF it even exists. LOLOverall I like it. Nice easy to read display. Didn't want to have to keep it plugged in 27/7 but display DOES NOT stay on (only 16 seconds) when using battery only.

Stopped dimming after 2 weeks
I liked a lot of the features on this clock: the large numbers, the ability to dim the brightness (and it is BRIGHT), the 2 alarms, the 24-time feature, and that it showed the temperature of the room. When on battery power it is supposed to turn off the screen, and it will turn on with motion or sound. It was perfect at night when I wanted it dark. HOWEVER after 2 weeks, it stopped turning off the screen. It was too bright for me to sleep at night, so I had to return it.

Great value device with interesting features
This is a large, long-distance visible clock with various additional features. I bought multiple clocks to show different timezones, and my use case was "plugged in all the time with battery only to keep time if power fails". The voice/clap wakeup feature doesn't work terribly well, so don't rely on that. The time/date set feature is easy to figure out - I didn't read the instructions, and I got it done (HOLD THE MODE BUTTON :) that's the secret).

Poor controls and uneven lighting
We bought this small unit so we could have a digital clock in the living room under the TV. Don't need the alarm, or temperature, just the time. After a couple of months, the clock started adding lights on the left side of the screen, as seen in the photos, making it difficult to read. The photos show Aug 9, the time of 1:43 pm, and the temperature of 86 degrees Fahrenheit (temp was wrong according to 2 other thermometers showing 80 degrees). Also it kept poor time. We had to reset it each month, and the controls are not as easy as the manufacturer claims. I had to buy another clock.

It works well
Go buy a cheap USB A block for power. Works great, looks nice. Easily seen from across the room.

A desk clock that is simple and functional.
A little frustrating to set up but once that’s done you’re good to go.
