Ok, but now used as a back up.
Wanted a head torch to mount to my helmet for when im out on the trails. At the time of searching, there didnt seem to be many available but this seemed worth a punt. Whilst it is as advertised, its not ideal for a head mount. It is basically just a small torch with a rubber mount that can be used to attach to the helmet as others have described. It feels a well constructed torch and made of good materials, but despite being an aluminium alloy, it is quite heavy. In my view, a little too heavy to be a practical head torch. The light is bright but nothing amazing and a slightly hazy blue colour. The zoom function works well using a simple telescopic mechanism. You can focus the beam to a fairly small point or spread it to illuminate a wider area with less intensity. The mount is a little chunky and i had to stretch its width a little to get it to mount to my helmet. This will not fit all helmet types and it did not sit perfectly on mine. Due to the vents in my helmet i had to mount it slightly further back than i would have liked and to the side a little, this meant it angled the beam upwards a little too much too.The charger and battery are a little cheap but work ok. Battery life isnt amazing but you get a good few hours out of it and it charges quite quickly too. I have not personally used the little rear light that comes wit it as it looks quite tacky and i have one on the bike already.Whilst this is a decent little torch, i quickly found myself wanting an upgrade. The light was not as bright as the one on my handle bars which was a little annoying, the light was also less crisp and the size and weight not ideal. As such this was demoted to a back up torch to carry in my bag and it has served well for that. If i get caught out and one of my batteries dies, this has provided an ok replacement to get me home at least as i can mount it to either my helmet or bars as required. Better head mounts and lights available in my view. I have replaced with a much smaller, lighter and brighter light that mounts in a much better position (reviewed separately if interested).

Very Versatile Robust Helmet Light
The media could not be loaded. A cycle helmet light set which doubles as tough durable and powerful torch if needed. Please note the helmet is not supplied as the main picture may otherwise suggest. The kit comes as a the main light with an additional red light for the rear as well as a helmet mounting kit in the form of a rubber grommet and velcro strap. The main light is powered from a large rechargeable battery (supplied) which is recharged using the supplied charger, alternatively includes an adapter allowing you to use 3 x AAA batteries if preferred. The red rear light is powered from a small button CR2032 watch battery (supplied). The main unit battery takes about an hour to fully charge using the supplied charger (turns red when charging and blue when charged). The package alsoAfter charging you need to mount the main light using the holder and velcro straps. The mount has two slots the smaller one is to seat the light unit and the larger is to seat against your helmet. First seat the main light and use one velcro strap to secure this in place. Use the second is to secure the light onto your helmet. The strap does allow you to secure the light onto any suitable position of your choosing, I prefer to secure this on top for maximum visibility. The light has several modes of operation: High / Medium / Low / Strobe / SOS, and is operated by a large green rubber switch on the rear. The main beam can also be focused to give a narrow or wide beam. The rear light has 3 modes of operation and is mounted using a wrap around strap, operation of this is via a soft touch button on top of the light.Overall a very powerful and versatile helmet light.

Excellent.
Wasn't sure at first as essentially this is a torch with an adapter to strap it to your bike helmet. The charger is a little odd, and the adapter to attach to your helmet a little bulky / awkward. I didn't think it was going to stay put. But... the proof is in the using. It attaches to my Specialized mountain bike helmet fine, doesn't budge. The charger works fine. The Torch is of sturdy metal construction. And the battery life and illumination is nothing short of amazing for the price. The light focus is handy too. I've been riding at night in Forested areas for a couple of hours+ at a time and this light means the difference between cautiously picking my way around using fixed lights or flying around as you can see where you are going! Much better than my fixed x2 £40 bike lights together!

Easy to install on helmet.
I noticed a lot of complaints on the reviews about the weight and difficulty of installation on helmets but took a gamble as this was the intended use. I'm glad I did as it's a good product and easy to install. This was not purchased to be my main beam and I wouldn't recommend it as one, but to go on the lid for trails at night. The weight on the helmet was barely noticeable to me, so I even whacked on the rear light as well, but saying that, I doubt it would be if you are even semi-used to Motorbike helmets.Once in the included holder, it's sturdy and the throw is decent enough to guide you between the trees. For less than £20, it's a decent setup and I'm happy. Time will tell how long it lasts for, but even if for a handful of rides I'm happy.

Bright and well made
Comes with everything you need to charge the battery (which is included) and everything for mounting on your bike including a rear red light. I personally bought it for in my work trousers and walking the dog up the farm road at night. It's super bright and has different settings (bright, dimmed, flashing and SOS incase I get lost when I'm drunk 🤷♂️) which all work by pressing the on button quickly twice to cycle through the different modes. Feels solid and handy if you have old 18650 vape batteries as they are much better than 3 AAA's and last for ages. Great torch, easy 5 stars.
