The Paper Bag Company 7 x 7-Inch Paper Food/Sweet/Mushroom Bags, Pack of 100, Brown

I use these to store recycling food waste before adding it to my food waste container that my local council collects, weekly. It is true that they come with string attached but all I do is cut this string with scissors and then pull it from them, thus not damaging the bags themselves. I do this only once, storing the bags unattached instead of attached. This is the second purchase I've made for them. I've yet to unwrap this last parcel. It remains unopened and in a cupboard ready to be used when necessary (when the first batch I purchased runs out). I use about two bags a week. I've now 270 of them. That's nearly one and a half years supply. I WILL BE purchasing more. This IS going to be a regular item that I will be purchasing for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, they aren't capable of holding anything wet but that's OK because all I do is wrap everything that is wet in newspaper first. Obviously, being used solely for recycling, no part of any item I use can be plastic or polythene. Everything MUST be paper.

I thought they are very readable price ,and I’m going to use them instead of plas bags , so recommend them !

The bags are great for their intended purpose which was to store fruit in for my children’s lunches, yet they arrived packaged in a plastic postage envelope and also another smaller inner plastic bag which was less than ideal as it states that the item was“eco friendly” and initially bought them for this reason. Perhaps the seller could consider a card board postage envelope instead for future

My son is 9 and always super keen to tell me how I need to cut down plastic use, he refuses straws and wants me to buy him a bamboo toothbrush (??), This seems like one of the more practical ways of doing it. He carries his daily ham roll to school in a paper rather than plastic bag. There was really no reason that the bag had to be plastic - that was just the way it was, paper works fine.These are thin brown paper bags - they dont look much like the photo on the listing so I have taken my own. I have had no problems with tearing, they seem up to the job.They are not strung- I made a wee box out of a ceral packet to stop them migrating around inside the cupboard.

Good quality bags that are perfect for sandwiches etc. and a good price. So much better than plastic bags as they go in the composter. They come on a handy string so they're easy to store and get hold of. I'd definitely buy again. Very fast delivery.

Not big enough for the intended purpose

Not much to say about this. You will get the thin brown paper bag pack super fast. the paper bags are 7 inches by 7 inches, just as described by the seller. You get a bunch of the (100) tied up at the top corner with a sting. Simple but practical and at this affordable price impossible to miss.
