I bought the applicator to use with sun tan cream. So pleased with it, thought I'd get the refill pads so they're here when needed. They are a good size and a lot of thought has been put into the applicator itself for ease of use with a good angle, light weight and good quality. The pads are a good size so they follow the contours of your back easily. They are soft and spongy and don't sop up the cream too much so not really any wastage. A lot of thought has been put into this applicator and sponge.

Useful for applying lotions to hard to reach places (ie. back) by yourself. Sun lotions, medicines etc. Handle and pads easy to transport in hand luggage. The replacement pads are quite expensive but are easy to clean and last for many applications. A bit fiddly to replace and a adhesive remover is a must when replacing a pad. All being equal, the fact that the pads are robust, easily lasting a couple of weeks of use, and easy to clean make this an item that I would buy again and use daily on sunny shores.

This is the best product of its type that I have found for the purpose, especially its collapsible design means that it can easily be packed for travelling. The downside is that it doesn't wear well. The head weakens quickly with use and soon breaks off, leaving a nasty jagged end which could easily cause injury. Also, it needs to be replaced regularly. So, until I find something better, I'll stick with it.

I wanted the option to have separate pads for different tasks. I use one for self tanning, one for body lotion and still have spared to replace these two when I wish. The Back Bliss is THE BEST device for applying any cream or lotion to areas you can't reach. I get lazy using the back bliss and use it to apply body lotion to my lower legs (especially the back of legs), to save me reaching down too. It's great that the back bliss handle fits all heads (I have the Back Scratcher, which is marvellous). I love all my Back Bliss products - the handles are strong, just the right length, and of course hold the superb inter-changeable heads. Delivery was AMAZING!! I received my order the day after placing it!! It was delivered on a Sunday - what a service from Amazon - delighted!!
