Great Watch ...Great Price !
Just got this watch and all I can say is that it's a real Gem of a watch I've never had a watch with a resin strap before and I quite like this feature on this watch easy to to just slap on your wrist no links to take out or strap ajustments to make whitch is great.Being digital the time will always be accurate and I find the time is easy to see and the Electro Luminescence is really cool to view in dark situations obviously at night and the the fact that it is water resistant to a depth of 50M means that in most general situations such as in the rain and washing up and when swimming this watch is quite waterproof makes this the perfect watch for day to day life and I hope it will give me many years of good service.I would highly recommend this watch to others and at the price I paid its a Real bargin who really needs more expensive time pieces when you can have nice stylish time piece like this and I think it is a cool watch that I'm proud to wear.

Neat, smart and functional watch. Small but perfect.
This is a lovely, simple watch from Casio and a nice alternative to their vintage model. This has the advantage of a strong, teal coloured backlight that fills the entire display evenly. It shows the time, date, has a stopwatch and is water resistant to 50 metres.I travelled up north and left my watch at home so ordered this because I kept staring at a bare wrist! I'm so happy with it, it may become my primary watch (and my other two are an expensive Casio and a Mondaine). It's worth noting that this is a small watch, and some may find it too delicate. The strap is narrow and the face shallow, which suits me perfectly but may not be prominent enough for some.I'm very happy and highly recommend this watch! It does what it says on the tin and is the price of a couple of coffees (at the time of writing). What's not to like?

Great watch... One you won't regret buying and owning.
deserves nothing less than 5 stars, this watch. feels just perfect on the wrist - be it on the chubby, average or slim wrist. i know this because i've observed people of various sizes wearing it and it's always cool to behold...well, it feels and looks amazing always on me that it is without question my most used watch despite being the cheapest of all in my collection.now to its build quality: yes it's all rubbery BUT trust me, it is way better and lasts longer than most leather watches. It's good quality too, so nothing to worry about.I use the watch for almost all occasions - the gym, evenings out, church, around the house, and because it is water resistant i don't worry about forgetting it on my wrist when i go to the bathroom (yes i sometimes forget it is on my wrist - it's that much a part of me since i bought it)The blueish green light helps tremendously in the dark and it remains bright for ever.the settings are easy to get used to. the time is accurate always too ( i have owned watches in the past that no matter how much i set it correctly, after a few days it just fumbles and gives you an incorrect date or something like that)one thing you've got to realise about this watch is that even though it's been around for over 20 years, it's still high up there in its durability and competitiveness.in my opinion, this watch is a brilliant 20th century oldie but worthy of being arrayed on 21st century wrists..

Nice retro watch
This watch reminds me of those we had when I was still in school, too many years ago. Basic features - time, stopwatch, and alarm. The battery life runs into years rather days so perfect for long trips where charging is not possible. The watch strap could do with being longer - I don't have large wrists by any means and I still have to use the 3rd from last hole. Will be replacing the strap with a longer one once I can find one that fits the design.

A worthy F91w "successor?"
OK, so here's yet another review of a budget priced Casio watch. The W-86-1VQES was originally perceived as a successor to the legendary durable, inexpensive to buy and much loved F91w, but here we are in 2023, nearly 2024, looking at the end of W-86 production, with the F91w still being available from a great many outlets in just as many countries, but it is effectively not looking likely to be replaced. So we can assume that the successor must be "better" than the older timepiece in some ways, or can we?In my view, the W-86-1VQES has some updates, not least of which is a superbly effective, full screen back-light compared to the dear old F91's tiny green LED that hides in a corner of the display. Then there's the rated water resistance; fifty metres / five atmospheres compared to the F91w's thirty metres / three atmospheres. This is probably a less significant upgrade, yet one that - although unarguably well worth having - is more about giving the consumer a greater level of confidence in the newer design of the W-86-1VQES, though many users of the earlier model report having worn their 91w at far greater depths than the stated thirty metres. So it's reasonable to believe that the W-86-1VQES can be given a good old bath before its case leaks. So far, both watches are looking like equally practical, budget friendly choices. What about the size of the case?Well the "newer kid on the block" is very slightly larger in case size than its illustrious ancestor, but only slightly, so anyone whose F91 has reached the end of its long life need have no concerns about whether the W-86-1VQES will fit on their wrist. The image showing the W-86-1VQES along by the F91w on my tiny (5⅜ inch) wrist sees the newly acquired watch on the thinnest bit of that skinny wrist, the old favourite on a place with an extra ⅝ or so of circumference, were the pair to swap places, the fit would be nigh enough identical, the other two photos show the brace of Casio laid flat on my tabletop, the only really noticeable difference being that the resin strap on new watch has slots moulded into the case ends of both sections of its strap, this is, at a guess, intended to reduce moisture from perspiration since the moisture can escape outwards in use.Having worn both of the illustrated watches in turn when I washed today's breakfast dishes, I can vouch for the greater ease with which the watchstrap on the W-86-1VQES cleared the water from my skin. It's a minor upgrade, but a clever one on the designer's part as making any huge changes to the newer piece would be unlikely to have increased the practicality. So I have no actual negatives to bring to this comparative review of the W-86-1VQES vs its sister watch from the same manufacturer.I prefer, but only slightly, the appearance of the new watch, but that's hardly an objective point and most users, whether buying the W86 to replace a worn out F91 or, as with me, to buy the newer one before it ends its production run. Why, Casio, oh why, take the W86 off the menu, yet continue to produce the older, more widely recognised timepiece? No, I don't get it either, which makes my conclusion a simple one to reach:Buy a W86 whether or not you already have a much loved, slightly care worn example of its sister watch in your collection. There is no downside to either watch, but buying the W-86-1VQES before even Amazon's vast stock no longer has a place for the watch. It's very likeable and will be extremely unlikely to die before its battery, its resin strap or its well proven module fails. The battery in the oldest of my F91s has been in there for around six years so far and shows no sign of giving up its job and going into retirement, the straps will eventually degrade and turn to a crumbly mess with a buckle and tang attached, so buy another watch if this happens. Lug width of both is 18mm and alternative straps at that size are commonly available. In an ideal world, both models would continue to be manufactured for ever, but if your older model dies and you fancy a slight, but worthwhile upgrade, then get on to Amazon now and grab yourself a W-86 before they're all sold out. Thanks for staying with the long review, I'm just a little bit in love with the budget watches that Casio make so well but would nonetheless have been using harsh words had this W86 been anything other than a clear winner in its own right and a great stocking filler for anyone who still doesn't own anything Casio.A merry Christmas to you all,Take CareJaye ××
