elixir are the best strings in my 40+ years playing guitar - these solved several issues: 1.quality of sound of an ordinary uncoated strings goes down rapidly - but not with these - I had 0.13 gauge phosphor bronze strings on for almost 3 years - they never went muddy 2.I am not a pro and I don't have a guitar technician - so for me changing strings every week or two was up to me and I have 10 guitars 3.so I am buying about 3 packs a year instead of 20 - 30 4.it is a big time and money and hassle saver and that is why I've been using these strings for more than 15 years now...they sound great and for very long time the only complaint could be that they are not unbreakable....they do break exactly as any other strings, but because it is usually top E string,just get a few cheap spares and that's it

Look good sounds good easy to use

I've experimented but gone back to these. They sound as good as the NYXL on my Novo and last way longer. My Mastery bridge was creaking and now it isn't. Some of that is likely due to the reduced friction from the coated strings.

Great strings good value for money

I Used these on my acoustic for Fingerstyle and have also used the electric version with a pick. THE GOOD + much longer lasting than uncoated string + clear bright sound + natural feel with no stickiness + no black fingers as with uncoated strings THE BAD - coating frays over most used areas of fretboard - coating frays over soundhole where plucked by fingers (also frays on my electric where I use a pick) - expensive. So far I still prefer these for acoustic, but have moved over to optiwebs on electric (great tone, no fraying,quieter under fingers)as they sound slightly better and last longer. I've been using Elixir strings exclusively for just over a year now, so I think I now have enough experience with them to write an accurate review. Here are some of the benefits I've found: - Longevity (obviously) and reliability: for me, Ernie Balls need to be changed every 4 days or so. D'Addarios are a bit better at around once per week. With the Elixirs I generally only have to change them once per month, and even then they don't lose their tone as much as other strings do, they tend to just get a little 'dull' sounding after that point. Its also worth mentioning that they stay in tune well and they don't corrode like uncoated strings. - Playability: these strings have a slippery feel to them that doesn't really go away. I love this because I feel it gives me better mobility, but if you're not used to it, it might cause you to 'overshoot' your slides. This could be contentious so bear it in mind. - Sound: I've heard criticisms levelled at the sound quality of Elixir strings before, which is why I was initially hesitant to try them. Honestly though, I think they're the best sounding stings I've used; they have a very balanced, clear tone that I really like. Every string outputs the same volume, which is something I don't feel I get with the other brands I've used (though obviously this depends on your pickups). I know that what I've written here sounds more like an advertisement than a review, and I DO usually try to keep my reviews as balanced as possible, but I honestly can't think of anything negative to say here.

11 feb 2020 £8.00 a pack! These didn’t come in the old pack as advertised, it’s the new pack. I did hear someone on the net saying that there are counterfeit packs about? Well, I’ve been using these strings for years now, and I did have a bad batch one time that looked right, felt right but they broke relatively quickly and in odd places. I always break a string on the saddle but these broke, two in the middle and one broke where my locking tuner locked it down, never seen that before? This was back when they changed the pack design and it only happened once with two packs if I remember? Counterfeit? How would they even do that? There would be NO point in copying these, just make your own brand if you can indeed copy them authentically, then sell them cheaper and also sell singles at a good price, and in multi packs... easy, even Amazon’s A. I. will tell you that! These strings are as good as ever. Be careful if you buy these though, odds on you won’t be able to go back to cheaper uncoated.... But then isn’t that how it always goes, I have a few guitars I can’t believed I played for so long, we move on...

Si durabilidad y calidad bastante buena

Le corde elixir nanoweb 10-46 sono davvero fantastiche. Vengo dalle ernie ball, molto economiche, che erano bellissime per le prime ore di utilizzo, il giorno dopo già annerite e le dita scorrono peggio. È vero che le mie mani sudano davvero tanto, ma le corde elixir dopo una settimana sono ancora identiche a quando le ho montate. La piccola differenza rispetto ad altre corde da nuovissime è totalmente ripagata dalla longevità e dalla costanza. Sembra di avere ancora delle corde nuove, è assolutamente fantastico. Da vedere la durabilità nel lungo periodo, ma visto come stanno andando sono sicuro che non inizieranno a fare schifo presto. Soprattutto se avete tanti strumenti e quindi fare tanti cambi corde può risultare faticoso o se vi sudano molto le mani queste sono le corde che fanno per voi.
