It’s a personal experience that is worth trying.
I was recommended this cup from a colleague who gave top marks for it. She said she would never go back to sanitary pads or tampons again. When it arrived I was very skeptical and rightly so as I have two days of very heavy flow. I did find it weird at first-catching your cycle in a cup and emptying it. However I persevered. I found insertion a little awkward and uncomfortable when removing at first, as you have to make sure that the cups creates a suction which on the first attempted never happened, they do give instructions and tips on how to combat this (I won’t go into that) however i was unsuccessful with it at the time. I decided to use a pad as well for reassurance. About five mins later I checked and the cup had formed a suction all on its own, so I was like ok? I was so worried about leaking, I was checking and emptying every hour or so. But to my surprised no leakage. (About a quarter filled approx) I called my colleague the next day and said it seemed to be fine but I’m emptying this ‘thing’ as much as I would change my pads. She said to just leave it a few hours before checking, which I did, (now on day two) and found that there was leakage after 2 and half hour, max three. When emptying it wasn’t exactly full but over half which baffled me. I then done some research (google lol) and found that it could leak if, one the cup didn’t have a correct seal or two, the air holes get block, which would obviously build pressure causing your cycle to leak. The suction wasn’t the problem, so it left the issue with the air holes. So (sorry for the long review), I decided every 2 hours I would empty as my flow is very heavy. On the third day I was getting use to it and didn’t empty until 4 hours later as my flow gets lighter on the third day. I was used to the insertion, didn’t really bother with the instructions they gave. Just inserted ( Worked my pelvic floor muscles a few times and hey presto lol) I would say I will still need time to really get used to it as it is a massive change from the what you have be taught to use as a teenager but I think I can say it is a good product and worth trying. The only thing I would say is if you have a heavy flow like myself. You might Or might want to consider using your usual methods for dealing with your cycle because to be honest I think the first two days of emptying are not much different to changing your pad/tampon (for me that is) however I’m undecided for my next cycle lol (very confused female here). However the beauty of this product Is the fact that it is very hygiene friendly. Without sounding crude it’s a massive improvement on cleanliness due to your menstual cycle getting a little messy. It’s almost, like Your flow is encapsulated, if you understand what I mean. Anyway I would recommend it, I’m sure it won’t be to everyone’s liking but it’s worth a shot.

Best menstruation product! Highly recommend!
Initially I was really hesitant at using one of these and put it off for a couple of years but after the very first use I took to it immediately. Within the first application I found this entirely revolutionary. I originally thought the Organicup would’ve been more invasive than a tampon due to the size but it fits your body a lot better and once it’s in you genuinely cannot feel it, even when sitting down. Also, when the cup arrived I was shocked at how small it actually is. Due to the nature of the way the cup ‘collects’ you’ll find that you feel more healthy and not dry. This is something I found so good as I found tampons incredibly drying and quite sore to have to keep applying and removing. The cup offers the security of a regular tampon but without the discomfort of wearing one. It’s incredibly easy to apply. The company offer lots of advice on their website if you’re struggling. It’s hygienic, odour- free and really easy to clean. Also because you can visually see how much blood is within the cup it gives you a very good indication of when you’re menstruation is due to end; again another pro of the cup! You can leave it in for 12 hours at a time making it absolutely perfect for bedtime or travelling! I put it in the morning then clean it out and reapply it before bed. 2 times a day and you’re sorted! Unlike a tampon or pad. Not to mention this is incredibly environmentally friendly; which was my initial motive on using this product. On a more personal note, due to the security of the OrganiCup it means that even during menstruation you can still be (somewhat, to an extent) sexually expressive (just not vaginal penetration obviously!). I 100% recommend this product! I will never go back to tampons or pads. The only downside of the cup, I believe, is that it could be awkward to apply initially, however I personally didn’t find this at all. My first application was so easy, I used the companies video on YouTube and found that very helpful! I hope you give the product a try because it took me 24 months to have the courage and now I wished I had been using this from the very start!

It will forget you're in your period
Having used tampons for years I thought I they were the best option for "those days". I was wrong. A few weeks ago I booked a trip to Spain and soon after that I realised that my days in sunny Spain would also be 'those days'. I had been careful before, always checking the calendar before going ahead with certain plans. Now I had to think of something. Although tampons are ok, I have to be checking them quite often and always feel a bit uncomfortable knowing that the strings could show. Well, I decided to do some research and got to know more about the cups. I was sceptical initially but decide to bite the bullet and ordered a cup and a disc. After much consideration, I bought this organic cup due to its environmentally friendly approach. I wish I had tried it before, really. The main reasons I can think of now: • it feels luxurious to wear tight white trousers in your period, without any concerns. • no unpleasant feeling when seeing and smelling dirty pads on the toilet during the day. You won't smell 'period' when you use this cup! • no smelly underpants due to period • no tampon strings to hold to the side when peeing and no need to be concerned in case you forget to do that • you will know there's suction if you try to pull the cup and there's some resistance. This will give you the peace of mind that the cup is inserted properly and won't leak. • easy to remove. You pull a little bit the stem and pinch the base of the cup before pulling the cup by the stem again for removal. Good to know before buying it: • you may forget you're in your period! It's that good! And maybe this should be in the pros list. If you are forgetful like that, then just set an alarm to remove and wash the cup after 10/12 hours them reinsert it again. • you may buy a cup that can be too big. Try to get some information about it before purchasing it. There's a helpful YouTube channel called 'Put a cup in it'. You can answer a quiz to have an idea of the best size cup/disc for you. • you may feel it to be invasive at first, especially if you're not used to tampons. Just relax as you do at the gynecologist. It will become natural. You don't have to insert your finger any longer that you do when inserting a tampon. In the first days of your period you may use a reusable pad, if you want to keep being nice to the environment, or thin pads . Or maybe you opt for a mini cup and insert it as soon as you see the brown drops, just not to have to be changing pads. All in all, is a game changer that will prove to be more hygienic, practical and cheaper in the long term, apart from being a green option. I hope you will be as satisfied as I am.

Great but watch out for the slip!
I’ve been using this for a few years now and it’s definitely stood up to the test of time. It’s only slightly discoloured I use it most periods and on my heaviest flow I change it 4-5 times a day. Once you get the hang of it it’s super easy to use! I cut off the stem to make it more comfortable and it works so well that I can’t even feel it. HOWEVER, recently the worst possible thing happened- it fell down the toilet… Luckily it didn’t block my pipes but it is not something worth retrieving from the other end. No sterilisation would have made me feel comfortable using it again. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great product and I will definitely get a new one but this is just a warning to you all- it can get slippery so make sure you’ve got a good hold of it! Also be careful on heavy flow days- when it is full sometimes it can “pop” out of place and you will get a pool of blood in your underwear so make sure you change it regularly!

Game changer - wish I’d tried sooner
I had used tampons for years and was apprehensive about using a cup, but wanted to do my bit for the environment and being peri meno my periods were all over the place and taking on a life of their own. Buying products to deal with it was getting too expensive and flows were variable each month. I was anxious during my first time using but my fears quickly disappeared. Yes it can be a bit grim to see the contents but the same thing would only be getting absorbed in other products and ending up either in landfill somewhere or potentially floating about in the sea. I have had a c section so chose the cup right for me. I practiced inserting and removing in the shower prior to needing so I would be calmer and I think this really assisted. Patience and calmness is essential, pulling too fast could result in spillage. I had one panic when I couldn’t grab the stick one morning but thought of sitting down and using the motion/muscles you’d use to poop. This worked perfectly, bringing the stem down to an easy to grab level. Pros are I feel like I have a better period. It seems cleaner, no more days of wondering if i’d better put something up there because it’s slowed down and I don’t want to risk that it’s not stopped. No more discoloured discharge the day after. No more pulling strings behind me as I navigate a wee to save anything getting wet. No more frustration that I inserted a tampon 30 mins before needing to poop and having to switch a fresh one out because the motion pushes the tampon down. No more dry tampons being pulled out of me towards the end of the cycle. I am confident leaving it in for the 12 hours which covers my work time without the worry of leaks. It’s so comfortable I can exercise and shower forgetting it’s in and have no concerns of leaks. If you’ve ever been curious give it a go, I certainly won’t be going back to tampons now.

Great Menstrual Cup
I’m glad I purchased this. I did try one a few years back but gave up with it as I was a bit squeamish about inserting it/taking it out and thought it was a bit arduous but I’m glad I bought this & gave it another go and I much prefer this one. I love that this is organic and I feel like I’m doing something good for my body when I’m using it, no more irritation down there or smell. I sometimes can’t believe I even used tampons and pads for so long. I also love the little bag it comes in, it’s really handy - it’s all natural too. The packaging it comes in is very eco friendly too and contains all the info you need to use it and some about the company. The cup itself seems very sturdy and durable without being uncomfortable to use. If you’re new to menstrual cups and are undecided I’ll put a bit more detail that may help you. Putting this in will take some getting used to but I found after the third time of doing it I had it down, it will take some practice if you’re used to pads and/or tampons. The practicality and benefit to your vaginal health far outweigh any negatives of using this cup. I just do the C fold squeeze as I find it the easiest, it just comes naturally.. then I insert it at an angle, you will sort of naturally know which way to insert it for your body. The key is to relax, easier said than done but try to take a few deep breaths and relax your muscles. Once the angled side of the folded lip of the cup is in the rest will naturally follow and you can just gently push it in and you will feel it has opened up and is in place, sometimes you’ll hear a kind of suction, other times not. You’ll get to know when it’s in properly but if you’re unsure and want to check, just feel for the base and you’ll feel you can sort of squeeze it and feel the roundness of it and that it has opened up. The first time using it you may doubt that you’ve put it in correctly but it just opens up and settles naturally, don’t overthink it too much. If you’re having any trouble inserting it, I recommend using some Coconut oil on it (I use the Lucy Bee Extra Virgin Organic Raw brand) I find Coconut oil good to use as a moisturiser down there and it can be used as lube so as long as you’re not sensitive/allergic to it, I highly recommend it. Be careful though as it can make the cup super slippy and prone to flying out of your fingers. (I found this out the hard way 🤦♀️😭). Once it is in, you don’t have to worry all day & you don’t get that yucky feeling after a while like you do with tampons and especially pads. You can leave it in for considerably longer (12 hours!!) as well so you can just go about your day, it’s great. You’ll need to set aside a couple more minutes in the morning or whenever you’re putting it in than your would with a pad or tampon, but it gets easier & quicker each time you do it & the more you get used to it. Once it’s in, no more having to go to the toilet and change anything and I have only had a problem with leakage once when I had a really heavy flow day. How often you’ll need to change this will depend on your flow. But for me most of the time I keep it in for the full 12 hours which is so helpful especially if you have a busy day or are feeling like having a lazy day. I have noticed if I go for a wee & wipe I do see a slight bit of blood on the tissue but it’s no amount that is of any concern. In fact, if it wasn’t for cramps I could totally forget I was even on my period with this. I’ve also been swimming with this in numerous times with no issues, in fact it’s a god send for swimming/sauna/gym etc. Also there’s no issues with this when passing stools. You will feel a bit of pressure but imo this is much more preferable to blood gushing everywhere as you’re going and creating more of a mess to clean. Taking it out will also take some getting used to, you have to get the hang of it but there is a knack to it. I didn’t trim the stem & I’m glad I didn’t as I find it sits quite high up inside me so I would recommend trying it out before you decide to snip it. I locate the stem with my fingers and gently pull on it until I can feel the base of the cup. Sometimes I use both hands; one to pull the stem then one to squeeze the base so I can pull it out as your body will naturally keep it pretty suctioned in there. It can help to use your vaginal muscles to push it out, this makes it so much easier to get to & remove. Do this gently to avoid spills, it will take a few times to get used to the sensation of the lip part being pulled out as it is obviously considerably bigger than a tampon but once you get used to this it’s fine. Again I kind of pull this out gently at an angle and wiggle it out slowly. I find once I’ve pulled on the stem and I can feel the base nearer to the opening of my vagina I squeeze it gently and pull it out while squeezing as that way you can pull it out so the lip part is sort of folded like how it is when you insert it. If you just pull it straight out it’s going to be uncomfortable as it’s completely open and doing it this way will also control it so it doesn’t spill. Blood will get on your hands and spill over a little if it’s a particularly heavy flow day but after using this for a few cycles you’ll get to know what works for you and what to expect when you’re removing it. It will become like second nature, like riding a bike or driving a car. Once it’s out I recommend carrying some baby wipes and/or a bottle of water to rinse it if you’re out and about. Or even one of those portable bidets would be good. There is obviously a bit more prep that goes into using this, for example making sure your hands are really clean as they’re going inside you which obviously doesn’t happen with most tampons and pads & the taking out and rinsing part can get a little bit messy and may make some people who are squeamish a bit uncomfortable but you’ll get over that. And I promise the benefits will outweigh this. You can go all day without the annoying task of changing and disposing of pads and tampons, you’re reducing waste and doing something great for your health and peace of mind. All in all I’m so happy I bought this, it has made my period so much less of a hassle and I highly recommend it. Hope this helped 💖

I wanted to like this, but it's not for everyone. If you're small made like me, please be careful.
I'm in no way wanting to bash these products or the company, but I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone else. I've always had long and heavy periods, so bad that even a tampon and pad will leak after a while and each period lasts over a week, usually two. I'm also very small made down there - the kind of small that is always commented on by nurses and doctors during things such as smear tests. I've always struggled with "down there", but after hearing so much about menstrual cups I wanted to try them. They cut on waste and costs, are good for heavy flows, are comfortable, etc. What's not to love? Although I'm small made, many websites and reviews from others said not to worry. It was time to ditch the leaky pads and tampons and try something that would actually work. So I purchase one, and eagerly awaited my next period to try it. When it finally came, after only a few failed tries, I managed to push it easily inside me and feel it open up and I twisted it to help the suction and to test it was secure. It felt comfortable, was within reach for removal and as far as any diagrams had shown, was in the perfectly correct place. That evening I stuck my finger up to remove it and couldn't feel it anywhere. Twenty minutes later, my full finger up frantically searching for the big cup filling up inside of me I ended up freaking out and crying when I realised it must be stuck. I went to bed, read a little more on removing on my phone, and decided to relax and calm down and to try again next morning. I waited for a while after I woke up (apparently gravity can help) and thank goodness, I manage to find it! Strangely enough away to the side at a strange angle. Such a strange angle, I couldn't manoeuvre anything more than one finger up at a time. So there I was, one leg up on the toilet, mirror on the floor, bent over with one finger frantically grabbing at this cup to break the suction. It wouldn't budge, and after many failed attempts I gave up and moved. I tried switching legs, a normal squat, in the shower, in the bath, propped up on my bed. I tried pushing it down as if pushing out a baby. It would not budge one millimetre, would not break suction no matter how hard I pressed, and by this time it had been up for almost 24 hours. All I could envision was getting laughed out of a busy A&E with a stuck menstrual cup. Luckily for me, I know a nurse who works in a gynaecology ward who was nice enough to come and help me after giving me advice. Although I think I ended up giving them quite a shock, as even another pair of hands were struggling to break the cups suction and pull it out. It is not a nice feeling having someone, even a professional, moving about inside you trying to manoeuvre the cup around. Still, it wouldn't budge for a while until the suction finally broke. Meanwhile, I lay squirming in discomfort as she struggled to pull it out of me, and when it finally came out I was shaking reduced to tears. The first thing I done after I calmed down threw the cup away. I've always been small made down there, but I've also used the super plus tampons for years and I am not a virgin - I've even got an IUD. I purchased the smallest size.I done a lot of research because of my size and had read about trouble removing it but had never imagined or read something anything quite this, and I do appreciate that this is a rare case. I just wanted to put this out there for any girls like me, who are so small made it's constantly commented on by doctors. I appreciate what these brands do, especially OrganiCup as I do try to cut down on my waste. Even though I hated the cup, I've given this a neutral 3 - I just wanted to share my review in case it helps.

Fully Converted! Best Period Product out there.
Could not live without this product and wish I had started using it years ago - Especially when I was in school. Was recommended by a friend and have never looked back since. Saves me so much money each month as no need to stock up on other sanitary products. Saves the planet! And I have never felt so confident and comfortable whilst its the time of the month. Takes a little while to get used too but once you have got the hang of it you will be fully converted. The best product for periods. Also one of the best most convenient things I took travelling with me. No more unnecessary plastic or packaging.

rahatlık
3 dönemdir kullanıyorum. videolarda pek bahsedilmeyen bazı şeylerden konuşmak istiyorum. ilk kullanımda tırnaklarınız uzun olmasın. kullanım amatörlüğünü ilk periyodik dönemde rahatça atlatıyorsunuz. alışma döneminde başa gelen sızdırma durumu gerçekten sadece tek kat çamaşıra bulaşma şeklinde bir sızıntı oluyor. ikinci kullanım döneminde yavaş yavaş ürünü artık kullandığınızı bile unutma durumu gerçekleşiyor. rahat hareket etmenin özgürlüğü inanılmaz. uzun süre oturduktan sonra tuvalete koşma ihtiyacı ve korka korka hapşurma hissiyatı tamamen ortadan kalkıyor. şu an artık diğer günlerimden hiçbir farkı olmayan bir regl dönemi yaşıyorum. bazı arkadaşlar ağrılarının büyük ölçüde azaldığından bahsetmişti, benim çok sancım olmuyordu yine tamamen ortadan kalkmış değil. keşke daha gençken ulaşabildiğim bir ürün olsaydı.
