I had the property surveyed and wanted to pull the stakes after it was done. To help keep track of the corners I bought these and 14" screws. I put 2 of the whiskers on each screw and drove them into the ground with a batter powered drill driver. I ran the screws down about an inch below the soil so the mower would not hit them. The mower blade don't seem to cut the plastic easily so they still stick up a few inches above the grass. Now my neighbors and I can easily tell where the property lines are at. I figure I will replace them every few years as the plastic wears out in the sunlight.
