Maybelline Fit Me Matte Plus Poreless Foundation - Soft Tan

This foundation is amazing, especially for those with yellow undertones. It's natural looking, medium coverage but buildable without looking bad, and gives a nice matte finish. Good for combination/oily skin but oil control could be better as oil comes through after about 6 hours. Shade 228 - Soft tan is unfortunately not available in beauty stores in the UK so it was nice to find this here for a reasonable price.

Whilst this is my perfect match, it makes no sense why it’s so difficult to get in Europe, specially Ireland and UK. This foundation is the holy grail, it’s even better then the higher end brands. It’s buildable, breathable and lasts all day. It doesn’t change shades so it’s amazing. I use a translucent powder but it works just as good without. Having just purchased the Dewy version of this on Amazon, I’ve come to the realisation that the shades are so different 😭 It would be great to go into any Drug Store and purchase my shade. In a dream world.

It matches my complexion fairly well. The texture of the foundation feels light and silky.

Ya he comprado varias veces esta base porque me encanta. Soy una "friki" del maquillaje y la belleza en general, y puedo decir que tengo experiencia en estas cosas. He probado varias bases en el mercado.. tanto de gama alta, media como baja.. y esta no tiene nada que envidiarle a ninguna. Me la había recomendado una amiga, y al principio estuve un poco escéptica porque mis favoritas eran las típicas gama alta (como la de Mac por ejemplo), pero esta me sorprendió para bien!!. De hecho, esta es la que más uso. La calidad es excelente con el precio que tiene! Se siente muy ligera en la piel. No se siente como si estuvieras maquillada y con sólo un poco de cantidad cubre muchísimo. Yo en lo personal recomiendo utilizarla con una esponja humedecida tipo "Beauty Blender" porque deja acabados muy naturales. Seguiré comprando!.

A little of this goes a long way. You have to be mindful not to apply too much of this on your brush, sponge, or fingertips. I normally wear a regular beige color like buff beige, but I actually got a tan going this year so needed a darker color. I’ve been using the fit me foundation as my “go to” for daytime use for about 3 years now. It’s very comparable to the more expensive brands but at a fraction of the price, and who doesn’t love high quality for a great deal? You do need to use a setting powder with this particular foundation because otherwise it will stay soft and or tacky on your skin. Use sparingly on your forehead otherwise it will look bad pancaky. It is buildable so if you feel it’s not covering your freckle or sun spot well enough just apply a little more on those spots OR dot with concealer, but make sure the first layer is dry first. I’m almost 50 yrs old and I don’t feel the need to build my foundation because with this one, after I apply my setting powder, that covers any spots that may have been visible. Here’s s tip: use your concealer AFTER your foundation, not before. I really like this product but I will tell you it’s not good for killer humid sweaty summer days. So no go for high temps: it basically melts on your face and you can’t wear sunglasses on a hot day with this. IS excellent for cold weather up to about 80 degrees. So it had its pros and cons.

I loved this product! Received this a few days back. Have been using it since. I am very happy with the quality. My complexion is a shade of wheat. This shade matches me perfectly. Here are some of the features of the product I observed after use: - Nice and smooth texture - Medium coverage - does not leave a cakey effect - creasing is a problem, but sets easily with baking (I use baby powder) - no strong odor - no skin irritation - no heaviness on skin - huge variety of color range makes it easier to find the perfect match for every skin tone.
