While this product is not the double sided mounting tape (which may be a more suitable option for your desired use). That product is rated at 30lb which is equal to 133.4466 Newton’s

The human body produces 1250n of force to lift your leg so as long as the force of the tape did not exceed this then you will be able to lift your leg up.

So the average American weights 197lb, theoretically 7 strips of mounting tape when their rating is added together would equate to 210lb of force, this is clearly not correct in reality. There will be some compound effect but this will be negligible compared to the required force.

Now it is possible to create a cumulative effect over a large surface area to spread the force and gorilla tape can be used to hold a human to a wall. However once the inertia of the hold is broken it would be difficult to reestablish.

Given all of this Information it would appear that it is impossible to use gorilla tape to walk on a wall. I would say if your desire is to walk on a wall then don’t consider this product as an option but you might want to consider getting bitten by a radio active spider and become spider man.

Would this work for ear stretching?

Sorry but this is hilarious to me. I must be aged. My first thought was if I were going to stretch something it would not be my ear! In any event, this tape is great for nearly everything. I was just explaining to my wife how this tape is now used to create a rear handhold on my iPad, it is used to also hold together my iPhone after i screwed up reassembly. I use this tape for everything and when done with temp projects, peal the tape and attach to cupboards for later use. This is a great improvement on the Vietnam era "100 mph tape." Ear stretching? Not sure but now I am thinking...

Would this be suitable to use to stick carpet mats on carpeted stairs?

Would stick this down as with most things but unsightly and would over time get dirty and messy. But if it is to stick carpet where you can put a plant pot on the top then this will do the trick
