Great product, excellent customer service from manufacture.We’ve had the flap for over a year, it has been brilliant, we needed to refit it to the new French doors, so we needed this extra surround, easy to fit, full instruction with it.We’ve had some building work done and the flap was moved from the old wooden door into the new French doors. In this process, we managed to lose the screws!!Customer service at SureFlap were fantastic. I went to their website, left a message with all the flap’s and my details, within 3 working days the new screws were delivered to my door (free of charge).Other companies take note, this is customer service, this is how to look after your customers.One very happy customer!!

Bought this when glazier was fitting my old cat flap in a new door.my cat flap is brown and this is white which is a shame but the cat doesn’t mind!

I needed to replace the crumbling old cat flap we had but the problem was that the cut-out was bigger then the new cat flap (SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap - Brown) required.This adapter (note that it comes in two identical pieces, one for the outside, one for the inside) was the answer. I just cut about 1cm off the bottom, curved piece so it fitted flush against my door panel and it then totally covered all the excess cut-out from the old cat-flap.The SureFlap cat-flap is obviously tailor-made to fit this adapter and very neat it looks too once fitted, which was easy to do. I don't know what I would have done without this adapter, I suspect it would have been very ugly whereas this looks good.I can only recommend it as the answer to not just round holes but oversized holes too.

First - the cat flap works perfectly. The technology is well thought-out and simple to set-up. Although smaller that the previous cat flap, but our cats only took a few hours to start using it. It is also much, much quieter!!Now, the problems. I fitted this in a fairly thick door panel, and had to use the long screws provided. I found it very, very difficult to ensure that they went into the corresponding hole in the interior section of the cat flap - in an opaque panel you cannot see where the screw is going and it is very difficult to ensure that the pointed tip of the screw is finding the hole in the rear section. In my case I had to have several attempts at getting the hole correct and by the time I had finished one of the screws (they're in a quite soft metal) had just about lost its thread.

Easy to assemble and very easy to set up. It barely makes a sound. A red light flashes as my cat approaches, obviously checking the microchip. My new rescue cat used the cat flap straight away, loves popping in and out and even half way just to check out what’s going on outside! Her tail goes slowly and it’s not aggressive closing, so great. She even seems to wait for the red flash momentarily before coming in again. She’s so much happier now she can come and go. Works with the mounting I purchased too, though watch the size as I sent one back as too big, think was a large cat / small dog size, which had popped up with ordering the cat flap, as an accessory. So just check!

I'd replaced the old cat flap with a new one, be the old one was square and somehow managed to cover the big round hole in my double glazed unit. I butchered the old flap initially to fill the hole but it didn't look nice, then I found this adapter and it now looks professionally fitted!

I purchased this to be inserted into a patio glass door and have to say it looks great. It's a better plastic than the rivals I have seen which crack and the yube is nice and this so where it sticks out won't get damaged. Be aware if putting into toughened glass you will need to order glass as it can't be cut no matter what you read. Also shop around as the quotes for glass ranged from £160 to £250. Programming for the micro chip is easy yo press a button which sets off a flashing sensor the insert cat into catflap the light will then go out indicating microchip read. Do again for the other 32 animals you want to let into your house. My only complaint is in the picture it has a round mounting plate. Gust what it doesn't come with this and cost me another £7. when they cut the glass the hole is round so you need this plate as the cat flap is square. Hope that all helps.
