excellent little gadget
review for Wolfcraft - Waterpump Attachment for drills - 1300 Ltr/Hr =================================================== bought for one of the drains that keeps getting blocked, its under decking and the only way to clear it is to remove the water first. With quite a few cheaper pumps it was tempting to go for one of the cheaper ones, but with so many good reviews here I decided to try this one. I bought this with some clear braided hose and jubilee clips. I didn't get a chance to mount it on a board (works well with just one hand to stop it from turning). Used garden hose and jubilee clips to attach to the pump. no priming needed, over a metre hose on sucking end and over two metres hose on the squirty end, works a treat. I thought it might struggle with the sludgy, icky water but worked a treat. Setting up is very simple, you attach two hoses on the pump (i bought a cheap one and cut it for each end). I used jubilee clips as i didn't fancy getting sprayed! You then attach your drill to the metal bit sticking out of the pump and then just press the drill trigger to start pumping. Used first on a handheld battery drill, and then using the mains sds drill (with chuck adapter) when the battery ran out (didn't want to wait for the battery to charge again). Well worth the money! Just so happened our washing machine broke down too (ic board went on it whilst it was halfway through a cycle), so easy to suck up all the water stuck in the drum - would have been a nightmare emptying it by hand. Excellence gadget - best to mount it on a board though, and useful if your drill has a trigger lock, otherwise you have to keep your finger down on the drill trigger to keep the water flowing..

Perfect for my requirement!
Great little pump! I needed to pump water into a large plastic floating “buoy”, in a flooded River, without a power source. This did the job beautifully, using my battery-powered drill😀

The flow was easily as fast as a tap tuned on full (though ...
I got this for emptying my Bestway spa. I wanted to use the old water to fill up several water butts to use on the garden (after chlorine has evaporated). This little pump is ideal. I pumped the water through 10 metres of hose and uphill by about a metre. The flow was easily as fast as a tap tuned on full (though that will depend on your drill) and it didn't take long to empty the spa. I was a bit concerned that my drill wouldn't be happy to run continuously but it seems fine. I checked it wasn't getting hot at intervals (and the pump as well). I've knocked a star off because it's maybe not ideal to leave an electric drill running unattended - be careful when you devise a method of securing it and of course using water and electricity in close proximity needs care. I got the pump to sit securely on a thick wooden board using the 2 screw holes then fiddled around with offcuts to make a cradle for the drill - it took a bit of trial and error to make sure the drill shaft was exactly lined up and the whole thing held firmly. I used the drill's front handle to counteract the torque. I then used some wire mesh to make a cage around the spinning bits to prevent anything getting in there and set it up off the ground where it wouldn't get wet if, for example, the hose connector worked loose. If there are children around you certainly need to make sure they can't get near while it's running! I'd suggest having 2 people around if you're pumping the water over any distance so you can switch off (with dry hands!) before whatever you're emptying runs dry, or whatever you're filling overflows!

Much Better Than Expected for the Price
Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pump for the price. Robustly manufactured and even the supplied bolts to clamp it to a baseboard were of good quality. Easy to fir garden hose to the suction and supply sides of the pump and then attach to an electric drill. It does what it says and pumps liquids, at a very acceptable rate. Worked well lifting liquid approximately 2m. Very satisfied and great value for money.

Didn't last long unfortunately
Firstly, I'll say that this worked really well on first use. Very easy to connect standard hoses on either end, and drained around 100 litres of water in a reasonable time (given that I was using a cordless drill 30 seconds at a time, having breaks as I was concerned about the drill overheating). The device itself is very sturdy, I needed it to be mobile, so didn't fix it to a surface, instead I laid it flat and connected the drill facing downwards. For the drill I was using this was fine, but I imagine something with much higher torque would be very hard to control. Sadly, only two months later, mine has died in the sense that water leaks out of it when in use, it vibrated like crazy, then suddenly became very smooth, which suggested to me that something had come loose in the internal mechanism, I saw a bit of smoke, and water was no longer being moved. So maybe it was a fluke? It worked well, then died, and I'm not the type of person to instantly brand something as rubbish with one star, then go on to advise everyone not to buy it, unless it actually deserves that rating. So I'm now looking at returning it as faulty for a replacement, or seeing if there is something a bit sturdier out there that I'll need to pay extra for.

Woodcraft Pump
I bought this to pump when I was changing a domestic heating oil tank and needed to transfer 400 litres of kerosene. My expectations were low given the price but, I have to say, this little pump worked exceptionally well and it didn’t take long to empty the old tank. I had to remove the dregs in the bottom of the tank via the fill point in the top, I just needed to prime the pump first. Brilliant pump for the price, it saved me a lot of money not having to call someone in to swap the oil tank. Just to make it easier, I mounted the pump and drill on a plywood off-cut so nothing could move while it was pumping.

Not a toy, it really WORKS !
I needed a pump to drain the water tank of a Narrowboat. Problem was that the only easy access was a filler with only a 2" hole. So most pumps, being submersible , would not fit. This seemed a toy for the job as I needed to move almost a ton of water, but as the reviews of this device were good, for about £7 I thought it worth a gamble. As a precaution I fitted a Jabsco pump guard filter (cost about £12 from any marine or caravan chandler ) which also uses half inch hosepipe connections. I am not sure if this was necessary though A piece of scrap timber as a base, two lengths of old hose pipe and away we went . The instructions say that a drill of at least 600 watts power is needed. I used one of only 500watt, admittedly only needing to move liquid through four or five foot of height . Drill showed no straining or overheating - indeed it stayed cool throughout . Only problem encountered was to keep the inlet hose at the bottom of the tank, it being somewhat curly and prone to come to the surface. To solve this I simply put the hose inside a spare three foot length of plastic domestic half inch waterpipe which accepts half inch hosepipe perfectly. I drilled a few holes around the bottom rim of the pipe. Made the enire rig in under half an hour. Total cost, inc pump, filter etc under £20. Emptied the tank in under an hour, so the claimed 1300 litres per hour is probably accurate . Much interest in the Marina, and several boaters lost money on betting it would not do the job. We only drain this tank once year, but normally it's a slow job. Next year I will only take me an hour at most . Job Done. Economically ,easily and safely. A Good Product .

A Handy but Imperfect Drill-Powered Pumping Solution ⚒️💧
When it comes to tackling various liquid transportation tasks, the wolfcraft Pump With Plastic Casing I 2202000 I promises convenience and efficiency by harnessing the power of your trusty drill. The concept itself is ingenious, allowing you to pump non-potable water quickly without the hassle of manual labor. 💪 Right out of the gate, the compact and convenient size of this pump is a definite plus. It's easy to store and transport, making it an ideal companion for various projects or emergencies. Additionally, the compatibility with commercially available power drills (at least 600W) means you don't have to invest in any specialized equipment, which is a major advantage. 🔋 In terms of performance, the pump delivers on its promise of fast and uncomplicated water transportation. Attaching it to a drill and watching the liquid flow smoothly is immensely satisfying. 🌊 However, it's important to note that this pump is strictly for non-potable water, so don't expect to use it for drinking water or other sensitive liquids. One downside that I encountered was the durability of the plastic casing. While it's certainly lightweight and portable, the plastic construction feels a bit flimsy, raising concerns about its longevity, especially if used frequently or in rugged environments. 😕 A more robust casing material could have significantly improved the overall quality and reliability of the product. Another aspect worth mentioning is the noise level. As you might expect from a drill-powered pump, the operation can be quite loud, especially when running at higher speeds. This could be a consideration if you need to use the pump in noise-sensitive areas or during specific times of the day. 🔊 Overall, the wolfcraft Pump With Plastic Casing I 2202000 I is a handy and innovative solution for quickly transporting non-potable water, but it's not without its flaws. The convenience and compatibility with power drills are undeniable advantages, but the plastic casing and noise level may be drawbacks for some users. If you're in need of a no-frills, budget-friendly pumping solution and don't mind the potential durability and noise concerns, this product could be a worthwhile investment. 👍⚠️
