Very good quality and I had kenda and this is a very big upgrade I'm going to wait and see how long will last because I had many punctures before with kenda and hopefully this is gonna last many months

Oh well the idea is good puncture right in the Centre of the tyre so not any better than normal tyres very very disappointed s small thorn in the Centre maybe it was 6 mm long penetrating the 5 mm belt ! No count on them saving you then

Fitted to my lads Carrera MTB which is used every day on paper round and then in weekdays for two mile trip to school and back. He was getting punctures once or twice a week - picking up shrapnel on his round and thorns on the backtrack to school. We got so good at replacing inner tubes on rear wheel that we could enter timed events. But now - that's a thing of the past. Chose this specific one as it has that little strip of shielding - and in the last six months not a single puncture. We're so out of practice at fixing inner tubes we're going to have to retire gracefully and hand the timed event trophy back! But on the bright side - that's a good thing. Already mentioned about these to some poor unfortunate soul outside Asda fiddling about with a puncture repair kit. Hope he saw the light too.

I took a long time making my mind up about changing my tyres despite incurring a number of punctures. I found these and now I wish that I'd done it sooner they are so good it feels like I have extra suspension despite the 50 lb pressure. I am pleased they are flatless and I can concentrate on riding without interuption/

Schwalbe Marathon Plus in this size are not at all common yet but having used them for 40,000 miles on another bike I was determined to find them somewhere. And here they are, look no further, and look at nothing else if you want a virtually puncture-free life. In this size (27.5 x 2.1) they almost fell onto the rims, no aid from tyre lever necessary. Update: I bought a pair of these 2 years ago ago and have just replaced the rear @ 10,000 miles. The front looks set to do nearly that again. I would still most definitely not use anything else.

The best product out there, have been using them for almost 8 years and will keep using them as long as they make them. For anyone who cycles daily, this is the go for thing if you're tired of punctures.

Für mein 29" Mountainbike wollte ich eigentlich einen neuen Mantel kaufen, habe mich allerdings bei der Breite vertan. Eigentlich hätte ich x2.4 kaufen müssen. So bin ich also zu diesem eher schmalen Mantel gekommen. Ich habe ihndrauf gezogen, was ziemlich easy ohne Hilfsmittel ging, d.h. ohne Werkzeug und Montageöl. Der Mantel ist exakt verarbeitet und läuft einwandfrei rund. Dann habe ich ihn im Gelände auf dem Hinterrad ausprobiert (Flußauenlandschaft mit feuchten, schlammigen Wegen, Wurzelpfaden und Baumstämmen). Hier fehlt ihm schon etwas der Grip, er rutsch über Wurzeln gnadenlos ab - also eigentlich keine Empfehlung für diesen Anwendungsfall. Aber: dann habe ich mehrere längere Touren über trockene Waldwege und Asphaltstraßen gemacht - da ist er ideal. Wenig Abrollwiderstand und ziemlich geräuscharm, man kann da richtig Gas geben und hält fast mit den Rennradlern mit. Auf den Schotterwegen muss man etwas Acht geben, weil man ziemliche Geschwindigkeiten erreicht, die Stabilität ist dann wg. des schmalen Reifens nicht mehr so optimal. Ich habe mir noch einen zweiten für vorne bestellt - die Lieferzeit ist 1,5 Wochen. ... ist seinen Preis wert, die gute Schwalbe-Qualität.

It cost the money but it does its job! I have not one puncture with glass at all since I've had this set. It's more expensive and it's a little heavier but you have to deal with it. These tires have taken care of me and I'll never go back for anything else.

I have to say I love these tires. I had been getting the best mountain biking tires from my local bike shop (armadillo tires was the name but I am not sure if that is one tire or a series). However, I found I was biking on country roads 75% of the time instead of mountain biking thus I wanted to see if I could find a tire that could do more street biking while still retaining the ability to do mountain biking. These tires ended up outperforming my old tires on street and mountain trails. Measuring with my speedometer I gained about 3-4 mph on street biking. For mountain biking, I noticed a large gain in traction with the cornering as these tires have a high knob count on the side compared to my last and it is interesting particularly when these tires are new to be going in a straight line where you are riding more the street potion of the tires and then take a corner and feel an instead increase of grip as the mountain biking tires come into play. For other aspects of the tires, I can't say too much. They are a bit heavier but I don't notice it when I am biking. They have a pretty thick amount of rubber that has prevented goat heads from getting to the tubes. I have put about ~2,000 miles on these with that being about a 60% street to 40% trail mixture and the treads are about 60% down. Overall a great tire and I would also add for new people don't be afraid to shop around for tires outside of a store for there is a greater selection of tires than at a local store and these are just one example of a great tire.
