LEGO Disney Princess 41068: Arendelle Castle Celebration Mixed

I must admit that I buy quite a fair amount of Lego throughout the year (Friends, Disney, Elves, Juniors, City and now DC Super Hero Girls) as both my children and I love it and I don't think you can really go far wrong with Lego which I also remember playing with and loving when I was a child too. In addition to receiving one of the 41068 sets to build, I have also bought another set and so the verified purchase label may show correctly against this review.Both of my children love Frozen and we also have the older  Elsa's Sparkling Ice Castle  and new  Elsa's Magical Ice Palace  sets along with the smaller  Anna & Kristoff's Sleigh Adventure , Anna's Snow Adventure  and  Anna & Elsa's Frozen Playgound  sets. This Arendelle Castle set goes alongside these other sets brilliantly but it is just as good as a stand-alone set by itself too.Size:-I think one of the main questions may be how does Arendelle Castle compare in size to the other ice castle/palace sets and I can confirm that it is larger than the older  Elsa's Sparkling Ice Castle  (the older castle included an outside tree part and the stairs in its width and so it was actually quite a bit smaller) and only just a little bit smaller than the new  Elsa's Magical Ice Palace  despite having 477 pieces to the new Ice Palace's 701 pieces (new Ice Palace also has large Marshmallow snowman which takes some pieces).If putting Arendelle Castle next to the new Ice Palace then the base of each of them is the same size except for the curved front sliding bridge part of the new Ice Palace. The Ice Palace is also just a little bit taller than Arendelle with the flip-out stairs expanding the width of the Ice Palace by a little bit too. I shall attach some photos of the two castles next to each other in the next few days if not already attached (I recently packed the older Ice Castle away when the new one arrived but I still have its measurements for comparison) to show their size next to each other.I have measured Arendelle Castle myself and it measures approx 22cm wide by 13cm deep by 28cm high including the slide width.Age Suitability:-The set is aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old and other than trying to get the stickers on straight it is a nice straightforward build which my daughter managed to build a lot of by herself and she is well under the youngest age.Build Bags etc:-The set has one thick instruction booklet with easy to follow step by step instructions and four main build bags. The set has 477 pieces plus some small additional spares. The set also comes with two main base boards, a slide and a sticker sheet.Figures:-The set comes with Anna and Elsa figures, a buildable Olaf figure and three Snowgies.Castle:-The castle itself has two main levels with the downstairs featuring a fireplace, sofa and grandfather clock. The grandfather clock can be opened to reveal a compartment where a couple of ice skates can be stored. The upstairs has Anna's bedroom which has a fireplace, dressing table and bed and a door leading to Elsa's ice room which has a slide down to the front courtyard. The front courtyard has two frozen water fountains, a party table complete with two seats, a birthday cake, a birthday present, cupcakes, glasses and two balloon stands.This is a beautifully designed Frozen set with lots of attention to detail and I love that Lego have finally made an Arendelle Castle set. As usual with Disney Lego sets they are a little pricier than similar sized non-Disney Lego sets but this is a really sweet and well-made set and perfect for any Frozen or Disney Princess Lego fans. Both of my children love playing with this set and it really is a lovely set to build and play with. I managed to pay a little bit less than the main retail price of £54.99 for the set that I also bought and so it is worth keeping an eye out for the occasional price drop here on Amazon too. This is a really lovely set.

Very cute castle to replay iconic scenes from the classic movie. This must be one of our favourite Disney princess castles given the size, soft tone colour combinations, the party decoration and the many accessories to enhance the play value. Both Anna and Elsa wear some new special dress variants that we didn’t own yet. However the star of the set is of course Olaf and his babies from the Frozen mini cartoon.The castle itself includes many interesting play-elements included like cake table, there is a magical clock that stores skates, a nice bedroom and a present box.The built of this 477 piece set took a bit of time but it was not too demanding. It took our daughter 1. 5 hour and I only had to intervene a couple of times to assist with the stickers.Given the figures included and setting the castle offers lots of play value. It is great for young princesses to combine it with their other Disney Lego sets, ensuring hours of fun and adventures. Aside from the high quality of the toy and perfect presentation, one the best qualities of Lego is that it combines, play and construction. This set is no exception.Lego remains an excellent gift

A Lego fan daughter loves it. Whats more to say? Follows the same lines as other Disney Lego sets, a working format that provides ample pieces, easy to follow instructions on a 'Frozen' theme. Price plays a big factor, so if you manage to purchase at less than retail, this is a set, that any Frozen fan will love.

My 7 year old daughter loves this. She started making it straight away, with only a bit of help from her older sister now and again. As usual it is of the high standard you expect from Lego. I bought this in the sale so it was a good deal.

Great toy as always with Lego. My granddaughter was so happy with her present.The package came well wrapped (very important with Lego for collectors because the box also ha sits value).Delivery was speedy even to Belgium.

My daughter is 7 and this is her first big Lego set. She's had loads of fun building it (with a little help from me) a fun activity to do together. Comes with figures too which she loves!

Very happy, christmas gift and its lego so you can't really go wrong. What more can i say. Looks fantastic, nice big box. Excited to get into it :D

This is perfect and received it abroad in just a few days and on time, but even if it was late, that's fine because it was well worth it.

Après réflexion et comparaison, j'ai choisi d'acheter le château de l'anniversaire d'Anna Lego plutôt que le château Lego classique de la reine des neige car il est plus détaillé, avec plus d'accessoires et plus gai que l'autre mais c'est un choix personnel. Ma fille, elle, trouve qu'on peut s'imaginer plus de chose avec celui-ci et plus jouer (notamment avec le toboggan).

7 year old loves it.
