Just Dance (Wii)

I ordered this a couple of weeks ago primarily for my daughter (aged 10) and eagerly awaited its arrival having seen the advert. Great excitement in the house when it arrived and my daughter and her friend put it on straight away without even waiting to ensure no-one was around to watch and laugh - so we watched! It is brilliant! It is easy to follow and the music choices span 4 decades so there is something to please all ages (except I don't like the B52s song - I would have preferred Love Shack, but that's being REALLY picky!). The instructions are simple and the whole thing is as entertaining to watch as it is to take part. You can choose the song according to how much effort it takes and the degree of difficulty in the routine which is fab for the not-so-fit among the players. It is a totally different type of workout to the Wii Fit but still one you can do either alone or with a group and a great way to get some aerobic exercise. If you do it with a group you can bet SOMEONE will do the "baggy trousers/funny footwork" moves to MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This"!!!!!! I agree with the reviewers who have said that it is a shame there are no new songs or levels to unlock as that would be a great added feature but even so, it is our new favourite game and it will take something really special to beat it. So, Ubisoft, we shall be buying your follow-up versions, but take some tips: loads more music choices, add some challenges and don't make us wait too long for it pleeaaaassse!

I bought this for my wife! However, I love using it too. There are great challenges within the songs and the multi player function is exciting. As a retired P.E. teacher, I was a bit sceptical about its ability to improve fitness levels. I was wrong. It's a great piece of fitness kit. Each song gives a very good workout, though if I was to be a little critical, it favours upper body workout better than legs. There are built-in features so that you do not do too much in one session, which is useful. As the oldest swinger in town, I'm getting to know a whole range of new tunes. The graphics are good and it's easy to follow the dancer on the screen. It's always a challenge to fill up the pink progress bar and and get over 1000 points. Now that I have sustained an injury - NOT from the Just Dance DVD - I have to sit and watch my wife go through her routines instead.

I bought this for my daughter's 9th birthday and it was perfect. She loves dancing and the moves are just right for her. She has certainly used this more than the repetitive Wii sports and because the dancing sillhouette on screen looks a lot older she feels more 'grown up'. The tunes are a good selection of the less-annoying 80s pop and more modern stuff. You can do the basic Wii moves or big it up like the dancer on screen waggling your hips and arms (my preference!). Good fun and good value all round.

Whether dancing solo or in multi-player mode (up to 4 players), this is great fun whatever your age. There are dances of varying amounts of skill and effort, making it suitable for everyone, even the uncordinated, and you get scored with a Great, Okay or X for each move and a percentage shown at the end of each dance showing how well you fared. I'm not sure how accurate the scoring is, but it doesn't matter unless you are ultra-competitive, because you'll probably be laughing so much anyhow. Scores can be recorded. The wii dancer is different for each dance, and are reminiscent of the original singer. It gives helpful graphics on the bottom of the screen so you know what move is coming up next. Just Dance doesn't require a dance mat or a nunchuk.

The game has a good selection of songs although you will of course wish there were more! The game has a nice clean interface and is very easy to get started with. The dance routines fit the songs well and the choreography seems good to my untrained eye. However, we found this game very difficult to score at and hard for some people to score at all. It seems the precision and timing with which you have to do the movements is very high and there is little room for error. I therefore think this game is only suitable for those who are already good at dance / aerobics type activities and have a really good sense of timing. We found a dance mat game much more accessible for all and therefore more fun for a group.

This Wii game arrived today and my daughter and I who is 7 tomorrow had a go on it and we were both very impressed. We both did short versions because we really didn't know what to expect and we found that we were very pleased with our moves considering we've both got similar movement to that of a breeze block!! The Dance tracks are good and are varied rather than all recent. Both my daughter and I started playing this game with little or no expectations of ourselves and I think that was right as we didn't feel disappointed. My son and husband are yet to take to the floor. I can see why people use this game as a workout and I can see myself doing that in the future. Would recommend. Also I've just ordered Dance 3.

This is by far the hardest game in the franchise but not in terms of actual technique (in that sense its pretty easy) but more because it judges so harshly. Doesn’t matter how well you do the moves, the game will see it as wrong. No matter what, you fail, you cannot win with this game you’ll still get an ‘x’. I remember when I was kid I did the DARE dance by gorillaz and failed miserably. At my young age I considered myself a just dance expert and would’ve committed a blood sacrific for damon albarn given the chance, so i took this as a personal slight and never really got over it. If you or your kids are prideful beasts I’d suggest skipping this one. Other than that, brilliant game! Got a B-52’s track, and as far as I’m concerned anything that has B-52’s is blessed by god

Doesn’t work at all, the disc itself was scratched to hell

Ich hatte das Spiel gekauft, damit ich mich mehr bewege. Die Songs sind klasse und auch sonst habe ich nichts an diesem Spiel zu meckern. Einfach perfekt!

ce jeux est vraiment sensationnel avec des super chansons et super chorégraphies de quoi mettre une méga ambiance et bien se dépenser seul ou jusqu'à 4 rien à redire nb: les chorégraphies sont plus faciles à maitriser que dans just danse 2 ou 3

Ottimo prodotto come poi tutti gli altri Just Dance a seguire. La mia preoccupazione era per la lingua essendo la provenienza dal Regno Unito e invece come inserito il gioco è partito in italiano. Soddisfattissima.

El juego no funcionó pero por qué no era para este país

Muy bueno, entretenido y divertido. Funcionó sin ningún problema, en casa estamos todos encantados con la música y los bailes!
