Thorntons Continental Advent Calendar, 278g

These were yummy. I must admit I bought this for my husband but got it way too far in advance, had a serious chocolate craving, and ended up busting it open and buying him another advent calendar lol. The second calender I bought and actually gave him, was a much more expensive Prestat (oh the guilt of stuffing my face with his Christmas chocolate whilst I scoured amazon for a suitable replacement) one and the chocolates were positively grim compared to these (I ended up getting him a box of thorntons in the sale to make up for it but never mind).There is a good selection of different flavours in this calendar, lots of different types of yummy full sized chocolates, and they certainly curbed my craving. My intention is to repurchase next year, but to wait closer to the 1st of December!!

Arrived in perfect condition. All the chocolates are foil sealed behind the door for freshness, and they are a great selection of Thorntons Continental. Very pleased with my purchase.

A short expiry date (these were intended for use last Christmas), coupled with rather indifferent chocolates, leads unfortunately to a poor review of this product. Thorntons no longer produces the high-end chocolates it used to be famed for, and sadly you're paying quite a lot of money for very average chocolates.

Brought this for my girlfriend. Pleased to say she couldn't be happier with it. The price is very good and she can wake up every day until Christmas day with a normal sized chocolate (Not calendar sized!!). Very pleased​ would buy again.

Where to start... the chocolates no doubt are great. My friend loved each of them and always look forward to get his daily sweet treat. BUT. Every chocolate that he was “supposed” to get was wrong! Only two days were correct of those assigned to each day (shown on each box) He was disappointed for this big ERROR. He was thinking of writing Thorntons about it! So yes the chocolate quality is great, the packaging is either faulty or whoever put the chocolates in their compartments was drunk...

This is a simply designed Thorntons advent calendar that looks just as shown. It's not the most exciting of calendars, but subtle and themed to chocolate colours. The chocolates, familiar favourites from the Continental range, are in a sealed tray which keeps them nice and fresh until opened. A nicely presented gift that my mum really appreciated.

Wonderful idea, daily mindful moment with a Thornton’s Continental chocolate…brilliant way to get ready for Christmas. Gifted three of these to family last year and repeats demanded for this year and delivered.
