Q: Does this gooseneck mic need a battery?

The BY-GM18CB can be powered by 2 AAA batteries or XLR 48V Phantom power. The BY-GM18C is powered by XLR 48V Phantom power.

Q: Is the on off button supposed to work with AAA? mine isnt lite or turn off.

I dint know as i use mine with phatom power from the mixer. I have 2 of these and they work great.
