My pedal board is powered by a multiport ac adaptor. i get mains hum when plugged into amp (not pickup hum, not pedal noise) will this fix the hum?

Depends on whether or not your hum (by hum we mean 50 or 100Hz interference) is due to a ground loop. Ground loops occur when there are two ground paths between a signal source and a destination. In the case of a pedal board with power supply and a guitar amplifier you have the safety grounds from the power supply to the mains plug and from the amplifier mains input and that mains plug. A loop is caused when you add a second ground connection through the signal lead between the pedals and the amp. This loop acts as a single turn of a coil and picks up the low frequency radiation from the mains supply and various nearby mains powered devices. This signal leaks in to your audio path and you hear hum. The Behringer HD400 contains transformers that pass your audio signal but break the audio ground connection side of a ground loop.

Hello, i get a lot of buzz from my td-3sr.

will it help eliminate that?

I don't know. Basically it stops ground looping. When two electrical devices are connected and the hum is you being able to hear them fighting to be earth basically. I had ground looping on two amps daisy chained. And it definitely works to stop this.

I use focusrite itrack with an ipad.get buzz if i plug a guitar in (mic is fine). buzzing stops if i touch the lead or focusrite. will this help me?

Sounds like you have an earthing problem with your guitar, does the buzz stop if you touch the strings?

can this be used along with a DAC such as the Scarlett 2i2 to stop speaker buzz when connected to a pc?

I think so. I assume you mean you've got the scarlett connected to pc thorough USB. And when you connect your monitoring equipment to the scarlett's rear outputs, you're getting buzz. In these circumstances you might have ground loop, so it's likely that this box inserted between the line outs and monitors will help.
