This is a Sanada Saemon-no-Suke Yukimura Armor statue. Sanada Yukimura (1567 - 1615) was a Japanese samurai general of the Takeda clan known for being excellent military tacticians. Though his army was comparatively small, he won many battles even though they were outnumbered. Through his daring strategies and feats he would gain fame and forever hold a place in Japanese history. Sanada Yukimura was called 'A Hero who may appear once in hundred years' and 'the crimson demon of war' and his soldiers where known as the 'Akazonae'. The suit of armor is made in a combination of wood, metal, and cloth roping. Painted with detail in the Takeda clan colors. The stand is a wooden box painted black for which the suit of arms sits upon.
