Superb!
I bought this to replace a 'performancepower' stand which failed due to cracking of an inadequately beefy screw-thread on the cast iron pillar-lock. This product is far better designed, easily assembled (using common sense as the pictograms are, as usual, incomprehensible), and operates in an entirely satisfactory fashion. The depth-gauge is easy to read and it even has a location for storing the Allen-key necessary for setting it. Amazing value for money!A bonus :I've been able to keep the already-installed base, vice and pillar from the 'performancepower' unit since the oypla pillar is of the same diameter.

does the job relatively well. great for the price
this one took a little putting together, i'm pretty handy at DIY but this was a little taxing. the pictures rather than written instructions were not that helpful.the base is described as cast iron, but it felt very flimsy - not strong enough to hold itself up let alone support a drill.I ended up mounting it to my workbench - I would not recommend using this without it being fixed in place.took me a while to line the head up so you get a straight drilling line!using it was quite straightforward, it fitted my cheap Wickes hammer drill perfectly and I was able to tighten it in place so it didn't move.I did hesitate in buying this as I had read in other reviews. that it can move out of line a few mm when you push the drill down and yes it does this, I bought it to bore new hinge holes in kitchen cupboards so for me it wasn't a huge issue. as long as they were both in line which they were. I guess there is a way to fix this but as I don't think I will ever need to use it again i'll leave it as it is.for the price i'm not complaining.

Light drill press adapter
Light drill press jig, it is light, so needs clamping down, and there is some sideways movement but it drills vertically. No replacement for a drill press but for a light accurate substitute, worth the money

Didn’t fit my drill
Didn’t fit either of my two drills. Cordless drill was too ‘fat’ for it. Corded drill didn’t have enough of a neck. Had it not been for this, I think it would be “ok”. Very much got what I paid for. Really needed a clamp to keep the whole thing from moving
