'Bang' is an absolutely fantastic game for 3-8 players that plays in about 15 minutes, making it a great way to start an evening off or fill a bit of space. Each game has you fulfilling secret roles, forming alliances, gambling and duelling with the other people around the table in what is a fast and fun game every time.Bang is so easily recommendable because it's a game for all purposes, it's really easy to teach, really easy to play, competitive but also fast enough to avoid any frustration. You'll more than likely play several games in a row and because there are a wealth of different playable characters, as well as constantly changing roles, every game plays out differently. The ideal number of players I would say is 6-8, although 4 and 5 work nicely too. The 3 player game is a bit different, although totally playable, it doesn't quite capture the best aspects of the larger game and is definitely not the ideal way to play it.The components are great too. The box is small and compact, has great artwork and it feels very high quality. The dice are really hefty and nicely detailed with specific icons. The cards and tokens too are really well designed, making all of the information easily understandable.Anyone and everyone will have fun with this, whether they're old or young, competitive or not so. It caters for small or large groups and is good for a quick game or a long session. Finally, this game is cheap so it's a great investment. It reminds me slightly of the game 'The Resistance' which features a similar secret role mechanic, although this game is a lot less stressful and probably a lot more fun. If I tried my hardest to nitpick, then I guess the abilities of certain characters seem more useful than others, but this really doesn't damage the game so it's not worth worrying about.Just get it.

A real gem of a game.Easy to teach, simple and quick to play make this a ideal game to play. Priced around £16 you will definitely get your money's worth and bring it to the table on many of occasions. A great game to play with both your friends and family. A real crowd pleaser.What's the objective of the game?It really depends on who you are. There are 4 possible roles to play. sheriff, detective, outlaw or renegade.The sheriff's job is to kill the outlaws, the detective's job is to keep the sheriff alive, the outlaws job is to kill the sheriff and the renegades job is to be the last man standing. The catch is the only person who identifies himself is the sheriff so nobody knows who anyone is as you have to figure it out as each player takes a turn. I introduced this game to my friends by saying "It's a bit like a cross between King of Tokyo and The Resistance" (both of which you can also get on Amazon. If you haven't played either of those before, I might say to you that it's a cross between Yahtzee and Mafia/Werewolf.If you still don't know what that means, then I'll say it's a game of 2 halves: Rolling 5 dice (with a bit of push-your-luck) to see what you can do on your turn, and deciding what to do based on the role you have been given (that others will be trying to deduce).It's a quick game, lasting about 20 minutes I think. I agree with many of the review on the boardgamegeek website which mention that this is good, because if it took any longer then you may get annoyed that you don't have complete control over what you can do on your turn.But the luck element (dice) is also a good thing. In the games of The Resistance that I have played (and apparently also in the original "Bang!" game) perfect information means that players can sometimes spend literally hours trying to deduce "Why did he shoot her? I though he was a deputy but now I'm not so sure..." The luck/dice mean that you don't worry so much like that.After reading reviews on the BGG website, it lived up to my expectations- a good little game that is easy to teach and fun and quick to play for a group of at least 4.

Basically you're one of 3 to 8 players, who take the role of The Sheriff & Deputies, Outlaws and/or Renegades.There's a progressive scale depending on the number of players but the rules are virtually the same, although there's a variant for 3 players.Each player gets a role and character card, these determine what you're looking to do (role), your hit points and special abilities (characters).The bullet tokens represent your hp (hit points/health) and each roll gives you chances to damage others or other effects like Native American Indians invading, dealing damage to all players or yourself and regaining health.The ultimate goal of the game is to either kill the Sheriff or the Outlaws and Renegades.The Renegades can either help or hinder this process but can only win if they're the last man standing ending in a showdown with the Sheriff.The Sheriff and Deputies win if all opposition are dead otherwise the Outlaws win in any other situation.It's a fast paced game, especially once you know how to play. However this is a player elimination game, and it's not unheard of for someone to go out in the 1st round! Thankfully the game length is short, so this wouldn't be a major problem, and it is definitely fun to play.The artwork is nice and the dice you use are of a decent size with clear labelling as to what each side does.Rules are easy to follow, game even came with a nice plastic pouch for the tokens.I highly recommend this game as a filler, family and party game.

Bang! The card game is a good fun game, which can outstay its welcome occassionally. The dice game avoids this by being faster paced, and perhaps more fun. It is missing some elements of the card game, so doesn't replace it, but is a good alternative.Perhaps the best comparison is with King of Tokyo - both play in similar time, and involve dice. I'm happy to play either, but would lean 60-40 in favour of KoT when given the choice between the two. But you should have both!

This is a great game for 4 or more players. It is not as good for 3 players, but still 4 stars. The real difference is that with 4 or more your character role is kept secret (unless you are the sherriff). This adds to the strategy of the game.Being small and easy to carry around is a great advantage too. All you need to play is somewhere you can roll a few dice - and some people to play with. It's perfect to take on holiday. If you like drinking games that require a little thought you can even take it on a pub crawl. The small box (about the size of a paperback book) contains 5 dice, 8 character role cards,16 character cards and some life counters and 9 arrow counters. You could put the whole lot into a container not much bigger than a pack of playing cards if you wanted to make it even easier to carry.You can teach somebody the basics in two minutes and get the game started while they pick up the strategy....even if they don't it's just fun to roll the dice and start killing people.A game takes around 10 mins for 4 players, maybe a little longer the first couple of times.I highly recommend this game for anybody of any age group.

We gave this to our 10 year old and the whole family loves playing it. It takes 3 at least, but can go up to 8. The action is fast enough that you don't get bored when it isn't your turn. The rules sound a bit complicated, but the game comes with little cheat sheet cards, and after you've played a game or two, it actually moves along quickly. We find ourselves playing it 2 or 3 times in a row because it's so much fun.It's patterned after tropes from American "spaghetti Western" films. You have someone who's the sheriff of the town, a couple outlaws, a deputy, and a renegade. The action is pretty simple. You roll dice to see what actions you can take. You can either shoot someone, heal yourself, or possibly use the gatling gun to shoot all your opponents. Each player has their own way to win based on their role. (Sheriff wants to kill the outlaws, outlaws want to kill the sheriff, etc.). Each person also has a character that will have one little special ability (maybe extra healing, an extra reroll of the dice, etc.). So it really isn't the same game twice.We have tons of fun with it. And some of the games have come down to real nail-biters: showdowns between a sheriff and an outlaw where nobody knew which way it would go. HIghly recommend.

Hi This is a great card and Dice Game.works better with a larger group really needs 4 x plus playersIs quite brutal as basically you are killing your opponents but all good fun.i this with a bigger group say 6 to 8 players this game will really work well as the 'who is who' element will really shine.the set comes in a nice neat box that is quite compact so great for travel holidays etc . Plus the overall quality of the components is very good with nice quality cards and dice.I have played with my kids 4 and 9 and though i have to explain to the 4 yr old she likes shooting the rest of the family :)would recommend especially with a larger group

BANG! The Dice Game by dV Giochi takes the basic formula from BANG! The Card Game, and provides a simplified and faster play experience. Personally, I never played the card game, but almost universally, players and game reviewers have said BANG! TDG is so much better, they won’t play the card game version again.To start the game, players will be dealt a card with a character and a role with different victory conditions. Outlaw kills the Sheriff, Sheriff kills the Outlaws and Renegade, Renegade to be the last man standing; and characters have different special abilities. Except for the Sheriff, these identities are concealed from the other players.On each turn, you get five dice, and three rolls, Yahtzee-style. After each role, you have the option to re-roll any of the dice except dynamite, but whatever you have rolled at the end of the third roll must be kept. Players take turns rolling dice and shooting at each other until one of the victory conditions is achieved.The different faces on the dice are:Gatling gun – puts one hit on all other players if you have rolled three of them, and you get rid of all your arrows.One distance attack – allows an attack on a player one seat away from you.Two distance attack – allows an attack on a player one seat away from you.Beer – heals a player by one (yourself or another player of your choosing).Dynamite – cannot be rerolled and if three are rolled in your turn, immediately end your turn, causing one point of damage to the rolling player.Arrows – immediately upon rolling an arrow, player must take an arrow from the middle (you take wounds equal to your number of arrow once the arrow pile is exhausted and the Indians attack).The game sets up and plays fast. Things are always happening and games rarely last 15 minutes, slightly longer for more players. Unlike so many other games that utilize the Yahtzee mechanic of roll three times, keep the result, BANG! TDG has player interaction.Consider Yahtzee, Zombie Dice, Roll Through the Ages, Dungeon Roll or any number of other games with this mechanic. They are single player games that can be played with others, but you are essentially taking a turn, waiting while other players play, and take your turn again. You do not attack, defend or collaborate with other players. BANG! TDG allows for attacks on other players, arrows which must be resolved immediately when rolled and quite possibly the rolling player doing themselves in. This was a welcome change, and one of the things that set BANG! TDG apart and gave it a fresh feel.The rules are simple and after one play-through that takes 15 minutes, players understand the dynamics and options.As for the game components, they are excellent. The dice are large and brightly colored, the cards have cool artwork, and the counters are thick die-cut. The cards, counters and box also have a semi-gloss, linen finish, and the box has a molded insert to hold the various components. Instructions are a single sheet, and that is all that is needed. And all of this for under $20.Gameplay is involving because of the secret identities of the players and the randomness of the dice rolls. Because you are forced to use the dice, you can sometimes get away with shooting the sheriff and calling it an accident. Not knowing for sure what the goal of the other player really is keeps the game edgy and has a Werewolf-like feel to it.I will say that the roll you get matters. The Outlaw has an easier goal than either the Sheriff or the Renegade – to eliminate the Sheriff. The Renegade role is difficult to play because the goal is to be the last man standing, and the Sheriff is stronger than the other players, but everyone knows who has the Sheriff and they are an easy mark. In games of 5-8 players, there are also deputies who are concealed (even from the Sheriff) but have the same goal as the Sheriff – eliminate the outlaws and renegades.The other variable is the randomly dealt character cards, some of which have very powerful abilities, such as being able to reroll dynamite or only take 1 point of damage from arrows, no matter how many they may be holding. Certain combinations of these cards can result in some very imbalanced games.All said, the game is big fun. Sure, this is a game of chance with a little strategy and cunning in how you use your dice and interact with the other players. If you attack the Sheriff at every chance you get, it’s pretty obvious you are the Outlaw. Play it crafty and spread it around, and you might fly under the radar. The fast play and interaction keeps everyone involved.I rate BANG! The Dice Game (scale from 1-5)Ingenuity – 4 The fresh twist on a common game mechanic works very well, making the game feel familiar and fresh at the same time.Strategy – 3 There is a lot of luck involved in this game, but there are also choices to make, and that helps offset the chance a bit.Social – 5 The interactivity of play keeps players engaged, with actions being made that affect other players, even when it is not their turn.Theme – 5 The Old West shoot-out scenario is supported perfectly, here. A shootout is fast and furious, and that is the way the game plays.Fun – 5 We love this game. It’s become a go-to game for us when longer games are not an option. It’s also a good gateway game to introduce players to the hobby.Components – 5 Everything in the box was top-notch, including the box.Overall – 4.5 We’ll be playing this one for a long time.

This is a very fun hidden role game. I understand thee is another version of this game as well, which is played with cards instead of dice, so please make sure you are buying the right one.This game has 3 factions:1. Sheriff and his deputies (The goal of this team is to kill outlaws)2. Outlaws (The goal of this team is to kill the sheriff. They can kill deputies too but if sheriff dies they win)3. Renegades (This team wants to be the last man standing)At the beginning of the game, the Sheriff is revealed. He is the only one to be revealed. The outlaws try to kill him. The deputies try to heal the Sheriff and kill the outlaws. The renegades play an interesting balancing role. While outlaws are alive, they try to keep the sheriff alive. If the Sheriff dies the outlaws win. If all Outlaws are dead but the sheriff is alive the Renegades try to kill the sheriff and deputies to win themselves.So early on when the sheriff is healed, is he being healed by a Deputy or a Renegade? Nobody knows and it can make for a very fun game.There are different abilities for everyone on the board via character cards and a very funny and at times frustrating Indian attack event. The game is awesome and has a great replay value. Being a dice game, it means that sometimes you end up with bad rolls, but so do your enemies so it works out. If you like hidden role games, you will enjoy this one. The games says 15 minutes to play but I would say that it is closer to 20 to 30 minutes with 5 plus people. Buy it. You will not regret it.

Es una nueva versión del conocido Bang!, en esta versión se hace el juego más dinámico desde mi punto de vista, ya que el azar reduce las posibilidades de la gente y fuerzan a hacer el juego más rápido, además es más transportable. Le da un nuevo punto si ya has jugado al BANG, a mí personalmente me gusta casi más.OJO!!!!! tal y como indica otro usuario, el juego viene con todo en inglés e italiano, para mí no es un inconveniente, pero es algo a tener en cuenta a la hora de hacer la compra.
