Good quality coffee!!
I like my coffee string, dark but not too bitter. When I switched to grinding my own coffee I tried a lot of brands including this but have not found one better. No frills just honest good quality coffee.I’ve had at least 10 bags all have been consistent in taste and quality.Would recommend and have bought for friends and family.

A very competent espresso
This is my second bag of coffee masters super crema, the first I ordered back in Sep 2018 and now in Dec. When they arrived first time around the beans looked like the bag had been used in a rugby match, they were crushed beans, little bits all over the place and really oily. I can only assume they were 'bottom of the barrel' for that batch. I returned back to lavazza Super crema after finishing the kilo but found myself missing the stronger and more fuller bodied taste of the coffee master's blend. So as soon as that bag was done with I replaced my order. The coffee beans themselves are really dark, this is a dark roast and appear slightly oily. If the roast and batch date are to be beleived, then they are approx 5 weeks old, very good, typically other brands can be circa 3 to 5 months. It's important to note that these are a combination of arabica and robusta beans, the robusta is what gives this blend its characteristic crema, but it also gives it a more bitter taste and a higher caffeine content. A lot of reviews I have read have complained about the bitterness, but again remember this is a robusta blend and that's to be expected.More accomplished drinkers will be more tolerant to the bitterness and prefer the higher caffeine content to the 100% arabica varaties. The dark bean and crema also gives a perfect canvas for latter art, creating some nice contrasts with the milk. You'll notice when you try to knock the coffee puk out the basket it will typically split leaving parts behind in the basket (Gaggia classic) and this again I believe is evident to the different combination of beans.Don't be fooled by buzz words such as 'citrus', 'chocolate' tones etc, show me a generic espresso blend which isn't. Overall the price is reflective of the quality and its a very competent bean.

Excellent strong coffee with a cream to boost.
As a lifelong coffee drinker, I was fed up with cheap supermarket coffee, tried commercial barista coffees, they were ok. So I decided to buy my own espresso machine and make my own coffee. Took a while to learn effect of grind and brewing time. I use a A cheap espresso machine (Delonghi Deduce). I kept trying until I got it right, i.e util I can drink the coffee raw .... those beans are good with an after effect of strong coffee taste and a cream that is not bitter. I like strong coffee. Then I created my own favourite drink - 2 shots (15g) and table spoon of double cream I a ug and filled with hot water. Amazing. Those beans are worth it. Because I drink a lot I need a 1kg every 3 weeks. They are always fresh and I keep them in an air tight stainless steel container. They are dark and oily. For the money, and because made in UK, it is worth it.

Great coffee for a company that cares.
If you like strong coffee you will likely enjoy this one. This company goes far and beyond regarding customer satisfaction. They helped me find the coffee beans that suit me after an ordering some beans that just were not to my taste. I love this coffee and reordered it again and will do so in the future.

Flavour a bit lacking for me, and the beans I got were not that fresh
Clearly, taste is a very personal thing, and for me this was a bit lacking in flavour, like an "unoffensive" all day coffee. Maybe I have just got used to stronger and stronger coffee ! The crema was ok but not overwhelming, possibly because the beans I received were roasted 6 weeks before I received them. 1 to 2 weeks is the ideal. While this blend is quite likely to suit others, it is not for me personally.EDIT: Following my Amazon review, Coffee Masters got in touch and apologised that the beans were not as fresh as they strive for. It sounds as though this may have been a one-off, and they confirmed that it was down to Amazon stock rotation as CM send supplies on a weekly basis. It is very good that they put the roasting date on the pack to be fair. They also offered to send samples of 2 other blends for me to try, so hopefully I will like one of them as I am highly impressed by their customer service.Unfortunately, CM themselves only sell in 6 x 1kg bags which is far more than I could get through in a reasonable time, so buying direct would not resolve the issue of freshness, and that will have to remain in the hands of Amazon and I will have to see how that goes with the next couple of orders.Equipment:Iberital MC2 Burr GrinderDeLonghi EC685 Espresso Machine with bottomless filter

Absolutely amazing customer service
I ordered this blend and started using it in my new espresso machine - roast date was about 3/4 weeks before delivery so much better than I was initially expecting from a seller on Amazon. The coffee tasted great and I used it two or three times a day, for about a week - but then I started developing nausea and shortness of breath, a few days later realising it was the coffee. Apparantly robusta beans do not agree with me and this is the first time I had used them.I'm making a point of leaving this review, as I contacted the seller on the off chance they could give me a partial refund, maybe half a bag of a different blend or something. I was offered a full refund with no fuss, and they sent a full 1kg bag of their Master Blend as well! Refund and new bag arrived very quickly, and no issues with the new blend, similar roast age, tastes amazing, and no health issues this time either(!)Great price for a great amount of great coffee, and fantastic service, will be using them for a long time to come.
