Perfect for chicken chicks but low protein for quails
This chick crumb is pretty standard in terms of ingredients and nutritional content for chicken chicks. It has good sized crumbles without too much dust and is nice and fresh. It is non medicated which is a personal choice if you want to feed without an anticoccidiostat. As someone who has lost chicks to coccidiosis in the past, I prefer medicated feed as buying the cocci medicine separately is costly. The only thing I would say is this is not really ideal for quail chicks. At 19% protein this is a bit low for quail or other game chicks. Specialised quail chick feed is usually 24 or 25% protein.I got this to feed to slightly older quail chicks, for when they are aged 4-7 weeks, as a stop over between the expensive 24% protein feed for the first few weeks of fast feather growth and then the adult layer feed.

The chicks like it
Suitable for my hand-reared chicks hatched from incubator. Also delivery service was good - item was left in a waterproof bag.

Good food and a company that listens
I had my first brood of ducklings and decided to buy this product as it said it was suitable for chicks and ducklings. The problem initially was that it didn't list Niacin, which is a vital vitamin for ducklings. I contacted the company who responded saying that it does contain 52mg/Kg of Niacin (which is the required amount for ducks) BUT that it was not required to list the Niacin content as the amount is below the Statutory requirements.I wrote again to Fancy Feeds to ask them to reconsider the position and remove any uncertainty by listing the Niacin content explicitly. They responded again and have amended their website (see image) and will amend new packaging labels to show 52mg / Kg.Great to see this company responding to customers in such a productive way, so I amended my review to 5/5 and would recommend their product to duck as well as poultry owners.

Perfect for hungry chicks!
My chicks love this, especially when I mix some with warm water. When it arrived though, I could see some spillage of the crumbs from the bag in the packing box. The crumbs had slipped through the string fastening - probably because they are tiny crumbs and the bag was lay on its side. Not a big issue. The bag is a perfect size for the number of chicks I have (4 currently and hopefully another batch on its way - but I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch - literally!!). I would buy again.

Good quality crumbs.
My ducklings love this food: supplemented with 1tbsp of brewers yeast per cup of feed, the ducklings go wild for it. A standard sized bag of crumbs, I’m half way through and have been using it for two and a half weeks. Ducks/chicks should only be on it 3-4 weeks so one bag is enough to buy. It’s non medicated.

Good crumb for your chicks
Bought for quail chicks. Although they're three weeks old now, we're still finding it a little bit too coarse for them, so currently grinding it a little. Took a photo so you can get an idea of how fine the crumbs are and what they look like. They're more than suitable for many chicks, but quail chicks are pretty small! The chicks love this stuff, and hopefully it will suit them to adults, supplemented other foods.
