Mean Girls [2004] [DVD]

This film, unlike most of the empty headed American girly films, has a serious side of what its like to live in girl world in an American college, but it is still a very funny film. It has an excellent cast and a good script, the first and by far the best in the short series of mean girl films. Well worth a watch, even if you dont like girly films. Dogberry.

This is a fantastic film and in my opinion should be required viewing for all girls from aged 12 and upwards. It wouldn't be a bad idea if all teachers watched it too! Focusing on the story of a new girl who arrives at a high school and her relationship with a group of popular students, it highlights exactly how certain girls can dominate a year group in a school and appear popular and successful whilst in reality being horrible bullies. However it doesn't do this in a "worthy" way, it does it in such a way that it is highly entertaining for adults and teens alike. I showed this film to my daughter to teach her that with girls like this there is no point changing yourself- they will always find something to bully you about. She took that message away from it, but at the same time she loved the film and has asked to watch it several more times. Lindsay Lohan is great in it- surprising how much talent she actually has.

Well worth the upgrade to both Blu-ray and the deluxe edition which is chock full of goodies including the script which is fun to read along with. Transfer looks amazing and everything is quality materials, hard glossy cardboard. I would say the disc holder isn't great but thats if Im nit picking. Other than that its the Ultimate cut of the movies, even if it ever gets a 4K cut it will be hard to imagine passing up all these extra goodies of you are a true Mean Girl fan.

I must quote the film at least on a weekly basis, if not daily. And no I’m not sad, I’m a gay Millennial. This film has so many funny moments, some subtle and some laugh-out-loud. One of Lindsay Lohan’s best films, and an absolute work of art by Tina Fey. Will always be a favourite of mine.

Good film. If you are planning on seing the sequel...wondering if Regeana is going to own up to the book or anything else; don't get your hopes up. Mean girls 2 is an aweful film with bad actress's but this is really good. Quote: "I can't I'm sick "cough cough" . "

Never really cared for Li Lo but Rachel McAdams is ALWAYS awesome. And whilst no where near as good as Easy A, there’s enough here to warrant a watch, or two. The main reason for this upgrade is the sheer wealth of extras. Obviously A LOT of thought has gone into the reproduction of this blu ray release. Plus you get the dvd, too. The way the discs are stored is, however, not ideal. Just your basic card holders. But the burn book case is delightful. Best part? I got this release for a lower price thanks to that white Thursday con. Blu ray runs for 97 minutes approx whilst the dvd is 93 minutes approx.

This is probably one of the only Lindsay Lohan movies that I can actually sit through (let's face it, Rachel McAdams and Tina Fey did really steal the show) and it's a must-see for any teenage girl. The DVD arrived on time and in perfect condition, and I haven't found any performance issues yet.

Tina Fey's scripting CANNOT be faulted! A hilarious film. The acting is so convincing, and I feel like I'm a part of North Shore High. Basically, sixteen year-old Cady moves from Africa with her parents to attend school for the first time, where she meets some true friends. One day she is invited to sit with the Plastics, the most popular trio in the school, and is catapulted into Girl-World, where the drama only escalates and friendship doesn't get meaner... A must see for all (I'd even encourage the most macho of males to give it a whirl).

Comédie amusante et rythmée qui plaira aux ados. Certaines filles se reconnaîtront. A regarder en famille. C'est moins dégradant que la télé-réalité.
